Final Year Electronics Project Automation of Network Protocol Analysis System

This project “Final Year Electronics Project Automation of Network Protocol Analysis System” which provides open source tools for developing software products into the networking domain. Wireshark, an example of an open source tool is used to analyze the packets and analyze its contents when such packets are broadcasted out of a system. Thus in a nutcase it is a measuring device and is used for examination of traffic of a network cable.

This project automates the entire process beginning from sniffing of the packets till the validation. The logging part is automated through a C program. The network packets are stored in pcap format. Success or failure of the project is determined by the parsing logic. This logic can be further extended as per project requirements.

Project description:

final-year-electronics-project-automation-of-network-protocol-analysis-systemThe main objective of the project Automation of network protocol analysis is to eradicate human effort and replace it with an efficient system that is automated to analyze network packets. The designed system comprises of a client as well as a server module. Client communicates with the server via an option. This option entered by the client calls an equivalent function. These functions are based on 3 types of logics.

The logic corresponds to UDP, SIP and QOS parameters respectively. Another component is performed which serves to transform raw packets of data to pcap format by means of appending pcap header. The parsing logic is implemented by UDP and SIP modules. The result be it success or failure is given back to the client. QOS module is used to display the speed and delay which are classified as network performance parameters.

Conclusion:

This project is used by network administrators to troubleshoot network problems and by network engineers to analyze security issues. The project gives a detailed list of software requirements that indicate functional as well as non-functional requirements.

Automatic Railway Signaling System Final Year ECE Project

Railway security is a very important aspect for a safe and secure transport system and ease for the passengers in travelling. However many challenges have to be overcome before this goal is reached. The project at hand titled “Automatic Railway Signaling System Final Year ECE Projectpaves the way for safety and security.

automatic-railway-signalling-system-final-year-ece-projectThe security is ensured in four steps. First is the automatic opening/closing of the gates with the help of sensors placed at a few meters from the crossing roads. A controller is placed to coordinate the signals received by sensors. Then there are red and green signals for the train driver to proceed or halt. These signals are managed from the central control room.

Project description:

In the project Automatic railway signaling system, the opening and closing is coordinated by reflection sensors. These reflection sensors are placed at a few kilometers from the crossing roads. The sensors transmit this information to the embedded controller which is connected to the gate. On the basis of signals received by the sensors, the controller operates the gates.

The protection of the track is ensured by providing a closed loop. If any crack exists then the loop is open and control room sends a sign to stop the trains from moving. The status is given by a LCD which shows the status of the gate. If there is problem with the track, buzzer will activated or else not.

Conclusion:

This project has been successfully designed and tested. All the working parts of the project have passed scrutiny and after careful selection have been integrated then the project assembled. There is a lot of future scope and developments where add-on features can be included. Highly advanced ICs have been incorporated in the project for best performance.

Analyzing of Network Stack Parallelism Project

Final year students who are interested in developed bandwidth efficiency related project using threading concept this application Analyzing of Network Stack Parallelism project can provide better option for developing a project. As the new application are coming in market which takes lot of bandwidth had increased scope for developing better performance in using network bandwidths. In order to increase performance micro-processors had brought lot of change for efficient use of bandwidth. There is need to develop new processors for replacing existing uni-processors to handle continued performance growth.

Developing parallel Core processor had helped in handling stacks in order to increase performance compare to individual core processors. But there is need to bring new processors for handling network servers, this project concentrates to develop better processors for handling network stacks.

In present available network stacks Message based parallelism is handled using multiple threads for processing multiple message at the same time from single or multiple connections, this type of threading can be seen in Linux and FreeBSD.

Where as in Connection based parallelism, Threading is done through groups. Threads which are divided in two groups will handle connections which are assigned to them. This type of threading mechanism can be seen in Dragonfly’s BSD and Solaris 10.

In both the situations handling network using thread mechanism is good but there are few problems like locking, and synchronization problems. This application Network stack parallelism project will explore new ideas for better performance.

Automated Water Tank Electronics Final Year Project Report

The main objective of the project Automated Water Tank Electronics Final Year Project Report aims at controlling water pumps with the aid of a logic circuit. It is automatic in nature and fills the water tank without manually switching it ON/OFF. The project is also coupled with a protection mechanism protecting the motor from ‘dry run conditions’. If there is no water in the source, the entire system shuts down preventing any motor damage.

Not only this, this system checks for the purity of water. If there is excessive mud in the tank, the circuit indicates as well as switches OFF the motor. A numeric display counter is provided to see the amount of water level in the tank.

Project description:

For the  Automated Water Tank Electronics Final Year Project Report, water level determining section is the input to the digital circuit. There are 2 levels at the top and bottom with the provision of two probes which sense the presence of water. The water presence checking section safeguards the motor from dry-run conditions. The pump set control logic is the heart of the project and controls all functions energizing the relay, providing set-reset conditions etc.

The mud indicator is used to determine the mud levels and to shut down the system if required. The seven segment numeric display is used to gauge the water levels in the tank.

Conclusion:

The project’s main advantage is that it provides an inexpensive way to automate the water pump set. It also consumes less manpower and saves electricity. The project can be further extended to incorporate microcontrollers such that the entire work is done on a single chip. For continuous DC supply, use of solar power can be used.  A cleaning unit can be incorporated to clean the water in the tank.

Final Year B Tech ECE Project on Base Transceiver Station (BTS)

This project “Final Year B Tech ECE Project on Base Transceiver Station (BTS)” or cell site (BTS) is a device that assists in wireless communication between the given network and user equipment (UE). Devices that come under UE’s are mobile handsets, WLL phones, and computers possessing wireless internet connectivity. The network of wireless communication technologies maybe GSM, CDMA, WAN etc. it is important to note here that BTS is a part of the GSM system.

The Base transceiver system is a network element which maintains the air interface. It is responsible to manage signaling of air interface, ciphering and also speech processing.  Speech processing here refers to the set of functions that BTS performs to guarantee a connection that is error free.

Project description:

final-year-b-tech-ece-project-on-base-transceiver-station-bts  The BTS, BSC and TC together combine to form the Base station subsystem (BSS) which is actually a part of the GSM network and is in charge of radio path control. This project focuses on the functions of the BTS (Base transceiver system). The BTS parameters are in charge of major parameters like what and which handovers, paging organization, radio power control and the most basic BTS organization.

The BTS is maintained by the BSC. This simply translates into the fact that BSC is capable of separating a BTS from the network and also collecting alarm information. The BSC further synchronizes the BTS which is connected to the specific BTS. Synchronization is very important because it helps to coordinate calls and sometimes if it’s not done, calls may not be established.

Final Year B Tech ECE Project on Base Transceiver Station (BTS) Conclusion:

This project thus establishes how important the BTS system is for wireless communication. Though it is a part of the BSS, yet most of the tasks are executed by Base transceiver system. In other words, it is the heart of the wireless system- a very important tool in the field of mobile communications.

Automated Fault Location System in Primary Distribution Networks

This ECE project “Automated Fault Location System in Primary Distribution Networks” aims at correcting faults by information provided by intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) containing oscillography functions present at substation level. The fault in the system can be corrected using information stored in a database. This project is supported by an algorithm which gives info about fault type as well as rejection ratio for better results.

A power system is said to a proper designed one if offers reliable supply and good quality. Many a times system’s reliability is influenced by short circuit problems which is a major consideration for a power system. To eliminate such faults in the power system, they have to be located and the cause supporting them destroyed. By doing so a power system will be able to function in an efficient way.

      Project description:

In this ECE & EEE B Tech/ BE Final Project Report and Document IEDs are connected to a voltage feeder which monitors voltage as well as current signals. A computer is placed at the substation via a communication link and also connected to LAN. 8 software modules are built in the fault location system. The algorithm used for fault detection uses DSP for its operation.

To determine the instant of fault occurrence, it uses discrete Fourier analysis. The DSP module then estimates the power in the pre-fault and post fault stage. By studying the circuit breaker status and load rejection it then sets to classify the faults as either permanent or transient. If the circuit breaker remains closed, no load rejection is present.

Conclusion:

This project is a step above the traditional methods and an excellent tool to operate the distribution network in a more efficient way, locating faults far off from the substation. High accuracy and stability is ensured by the project. As a result expenditure on maintenance is reduced thereby reducing the overall operational cost.
