In Web Based Ordering and Payment System project in PHP , the proponents will enumerate the overall productivity of a well-defined and well-managed web-based ordering and payment system and incorporate with it the functionality of macro-computers and micro-computers. The proposed system has the ability to keep track of the orders and sales generated by the business and update its owners at any time convenient to them. Consequently, the proposed system will lessen the business owners’ work, saving their energy and time as well for other more important concerns that need their immediate attention. The system will also be advantageous, since the usage of the proposed system will resolve limitations in time. At the same time, the accuracy, efficiency, reliability, user-friendliness, security and profitability gathered from the business owner, employees, and clients will be ensured. The proposed system will also reflect the integrity of the business it is applied to.
The proposed system is a web-based ordering and payment system for the clients and owners of the business. It is designed to improve the traditional ordering and payment method of the clients of the business. The proponents will use PHP5 and HTML as its front-end scripting language and MySQL as its back-end database. The system will run under Windows Operating System platforms only.
Statement of the Problem
The proponents would like to verify the feasibility of the proposed Online Ordering and Payment System for KAEKO’s Sweets and Banquet Services. The aim of the study is to promote efficiency and effectiveness in the tracking of sales generated by the business and to promote ease from hard work among the owners and its clients.
Modules Overview:
First, a security module will be provided to heighten the business security from unauthorized personnels. The security measures used in this particular system is the correct username and password combination which will determine the type of configuration to be loaded. A user must first correctly log-in before the appropriate functions of the system are displayed. The system will be composed of three levels of access- the administrative account, the standard account, and the guest account.
The administrator account (owner’s account) is entitled to the maximum authority of the entire system, which includes, but not limited to: Sales Generation Reports, Product Maintenance and Inventory, Products Information and Product Orders. The standard account (customer’s account) will have a limited access to the system, which includes the following: product requests, product purchasing/ shopping cart, and viewing of his/her account. Under the guest account, access is limited only to browsing of products; he/she must first sign in before the placement of order is done.
Users of the proposed software may change their usernames and respective passwords for added security.
