Computer Seminar Topic on Wimax Technology

Introduction to Computer Seminar Topic on Wimax Technology:

It is the wireless network based on the broadband with high speed communication. It was first introduced in 1998 by the NIST and then after long processing it was released in the 2004. They are best for the rural and the metro regions where the network problem is common. They provide transmission of high power. They use standard antennas that may have range from 10 GHz to 60 GHz. In this transmission interference is very less or negligible. They can send the data at the speed of 100 Mb/s both uploading and downloading. Some operators might use multi- channels fir data transfer up to the speed of 300 MB/s.

Wi-Max is multi point link they can link either to the ISP or to the telephone line over the longer distance. Single signal transmitters can communicate to the many subscribers whether they are indoor or outdoor. They use mode communication it means subscribers can connect to each other and communicate. This decreases the cost efficiency.

In Chennai last year Aircel has tested its Wi-Max network which is still under construction. Wi-Max is costly for initial setup and they need nice infrastructure. They are still not secure. They need to take license for their spectrum they use.

Applications: we can connect different Wi-Fi spots together to connect each other. This is the removal of wires for connecting with WAN. They are high speed broadband service that can be used in the mobile devices.

Others: Wi-Fi can give the speed up to 54 Mbps whereas Bluetooth give 1 Mbps and Zigbee provides the speed of 250 Kbps.  Wi-Fi is the fastest among these and they can be used in laptops, PCs, or mobiles. Bluetooth are used in the devices like mobiles, USB, keyboards, mouse etc.

Paper Presentation on Wi Max Technology

Introduction to Paper Presentation on Wi Max Technology:

It is the wireless network that works on microwave access. It is based on the 802.16 standard. It is the wireless broadband connection that is alternative to the wired broadband connection and DSL. It has overcomes the limitations of cables.  They are the high speed connection at low prices for the customers.  It works on the frequency range between 2-11 GHz.  Now you can experience high speed on your mobile devices where ever you go.

It consists of different base stations that are developed in the different area. They work just like cellular network. It has the feature of multiple connections. You need to subscribe to the network provider and need to tell him what kind of service you want. There are two kinds fixed and mobile. These networks are OFDMA based and they provide the speed of 100 Mbps. Today’s mobiles devices only support GSM/EDGE and HSPA and EV-DO and 4G are not supportable till is being deployed by the network providers.

Advantages:they are best alternative for the wired DSL.  They have large network area may be of some KM and they high secured and the rate of interference is very less. You can connect to the Wi-Fi hot spots and even other networks. They are high speed connection like 4G. You can use them on your mobiles.

But this technology is being deployed very slowly by the mobiles operators and they require complex software for that. In future it will overlap the technology like UMTS and CDMA. They need to have licensed spectrum like 2.5 GHz and 3.5 GHz of frequency. They are very less available.  This technology will help the rural areas where broadband with wires can’t reach or in metro where there is too traffic.

Wi-Max Technology Seminar Abstract

Introduction to Wi-Max Technology Seminar Topic:

It is the wireless telecommunication network that signals to its clients by high towers that have standard antennas. They have different modes of transmission like point to point and point to multipoint. It is the broadband service that is wireless and can be access from mobile also like moving from one place to another place just be in the network where ever you go. It is developed by the IEEE 802.16 standards.  They are just like Wi-Fi but faster than Wi-Fi. Major advantage of this network is that it has removed the limitation of the wire that was used in the broadband. It will help in rural areas and metros.

They work between 2-11 GHz frequency and speed of the data is up to 11 Mbps.Wi-max allow certification process which allows other vendor to sell their own product. We need to have small antenna at our pc or laptop to connect to the Wi-max tower. Wi-max tower non-line of sight of transmission means that lower band Wight of frequency.

Lower bandwidth frequency don’t get diffract from the path and don’t interfered by the obstacles they diffract around the obstacles. It also line of sight from fixed antennas from Wi-max tower. They can send lot of data and they generate very few errors. This sight of connection is very strong. They connect to the clients using their IP address that are provided by the ISP.

Wi-max can use spectrum both of licensed and unlicensed type depend on the countries they use. Few countries are using licensed spectrum while some not. In licensed spectrum that are divided in to three groups 2.3 GHz, 2.5 GHz and 3.5 GHz. Their main aim is to decrease the price and make the connection reach to maximum embedded devices like laptops and mobiles that are mobile and don’t remain on one place.

Term Paper Topics for CSE on Wi-Max Technology

Introduction toWi-Max Technology Term Paper Topic:

It is the IEEE 802.16 standard wireless high speed network. It is the broadband connection that is wire free. It works like cellular networks. It uses IP address to connect to its clients. They support multi-point links and multiple users can connect to it and even they can use it on their mobiles.

They need many base stations for the radio transmission using standard antennas. They generally use line of sight of connection type and they high towers that are strong and can transmit the signals to the longer distances. Higher the frequency less is the interference, a basic station can cover up to 10 km of radius. You need to have PC card in your laptop or PC to connect with the Wi-max.

They are flexible network it means that they can point to point, point to multipoint connections. They use data encryption that provides security to the data and they also keep track their network being theft or any other data risk. They are quickly developed unlike other networks we just need to install the antenna and set the desired frequency. We can use Wi-Max at other locations also and even in the network of other service provider. It is mobile, means that you don’t need to stick to your bench, roam anywhere and have fun with phone also. They are less costly. Provide area of network coverage especially in rural areas where cable can’t reach.

It can use for making call like voice call over internet. They are now being adopted by the cellular operators. It has few limitations also. It can’t reach the speed of 70 Mbps over 50Km. at higher transmission rate the rate of bit error increases. Their speed decreases behind the walls.

Term Paper on Wi-Fi Technology

Introduction to Term Paper on Wi-Fi Technology:

Wi-Fi stands for wireless fidelity. It is the wireless network that uses to connect to the internet without any wires. It is based on the radio technology. Many computers can connect to the network, we can share files and data and ever many source stations can be connected each other. You can use this network anywhere whether you are at home or at work.

You just need is computer with certified Wi-Fi. It is the uninterrupted communication to the user. They are not still as much secure as needed. The main feature about this is the freedom it provides of internet access at anywhere at any place.

Wi-Fi works in 2.4 GHz and provides the speed of 11 Mbps.  Wi-Fi is also known as 802.11b. In Wi-Fi station is made that transmit the radio waves.  An access point is created that is the bridge between the station and the client or user. This network is just like a telephone network. It is based on the two modes: ad hoc mode and infrastructure mode. Ad hoc modes are those user communicate directly and more than one user can connect to the peer connections. In infrastructure mode is used in the organization or the companies or universities.

Wi-Fi doesn’t have limited range. Its range can be increased according to the requirement and the area where it is used.  Its range can be from 500 feet to 1000 acres or more. It also depends on the type and quality of the antenna.

WEP: it is the algorithm used for the purpose of encryption.  In this we have key or password that is entered both the side for the connection. Data are encrypted at the server side and again decryption at the client side.

Paper Presentation on Wibree Technology

Introduction to Paper Presentation on Wibree Technology:

It is the wireless communication works in small area and with very low very power consumption using batteries and cells like button cells. They work in the area of 10 meters. They are used in the devices with microchip embedded in it. This technology was developed and used by Nokia in 2006.They work like radio communication with the frequency range of 2.4 GHz. The main of the Wibree is to use the Bluetooth communication for short range and increase the life period of the battery. Even the button cell can work up to 30 days.

Wibree communication can be implemented on two types of chips standalone chip and dual chip.  They can be installed in the device like watches, mouse, keyboards, that will reduce the burden of wire. They are reliable and support multi point link and data encryption.

It is similar to the Bluetooth. They both work on 2.4 GHz and can transfer the data at the speed of 1 MB/s. Bluetooth can be used to transfer any data like audio or video file or text file but Wibree are used to transfer only small data and they are designed to reduce the cost as much as possible and increase the life time of the battery. Bluetooth have fixed packet line and they require large power.

Zigbee is also just like Wibree but it works for large than Wibree. They both are competent to each other. Both are designed to improve the battery life. Zigbee are used in the t home appliances for lightening and control shades, or in DVDs or microwaves.

Applications: They are used in the devices like mobiles and accessories. Laptops and computers input and output devices, home appliance that can be controlled through mobile phones, medical field accessories like heart controller, blood pressure measure.

CSE Technical Seminar Topic on Wibree with Seminar Report

Introduction to Technical Seminar Topic on Wibree:

It is based on the radio technology that has very less power consumption and designed for short range. It can be operated on the battery like button cell and it also last in months. It was developed in 2004 by the Nokia. This technology is not developed fully and it might get ready till 2007. It works on the frequency range of 2.45 GHz.

It sends the data at the speed of 3 Mbps and covers the area of 10 meters. It is just like the Bluetooth as it used for sending audio and video files and they consume more power. But it designed for low power consumption and used to transfer the small files.

It is implemented on two modes: single mode and dual mode. Single mode is used for small devices and low cost devices like mouse, keyboards and some toys while dual modes are used for high function devices like mobile phones. It can use on wrist watches; sensors etc. it cannot take place of Bluetooth but it can complement Bluetooth as Bluetooth are large and heavy models.

It is more efficient than Bluetooth. It extended the life time of the battery even button cell can works up to several months. It can be embedded on Bluetooth chips, after that both Bluetooth and Wibree can work together. As Bluetooth is the great technology and it is adopted in the whole world ad in the all the devices like mobiles and computer but we when we talk about small devices like watch and keyboards, sensors then Bluetooth will not work, then we need to have Wibree as they both work on same frequency but the power consumption is very less than Bluetooth. Both of the them are based on the radio technology.

CSE Seminar Report on Wibree with Report for Final Year CSE Students

Introduction to  Wibree Seminar Topic:

Now days each and every thing is going wireless, whether it is related to the health, sports, fitness or anything electronics. They are making their product work on battery or using button cell batteries. They are using Bluetooth for their product. Bluetooth is the advanced technology that is used in the top ten most useful things in the world. More than two billion products are running on the Bluetooth. They are fast and less power consuming. Nokia Corporation started using Bluetooth and creates new low power consumption Bluetooth that is also called Wibree. Wibree is less power consumption wireless protocol.

Wibree works on 2.4 GHz frequency as same as Bluetooth. If we update the running software of Bluetooth we can connect to Wibree devices. It can connect devices within the range of 200 m. They can send the data at the speed of 2 MB/s through air. They use CBC MAC for the security of the data.  They are implemented on two modes: single mode and dual mode.

Single mode:they are used on the small devices for less data transferring.  They are small, less power consumption. They can provide the life to the battery up to 7 days to 30 days even a button cell.

Double mode:they are used in the mobile phones and laptops. They are also less power consumption.

Wibree works on star bus topology.

Applications:as they are low power consumption so they can be used battery operated devices like radio or mobiles phones. We can use this in our home like temperature controlling, ventilation or in office for detecting the number of workers. We can use them in wrist watch to connect with our phone, so that it can display the call and we can answer or reject the call.

Technical Seminar Topic on Wi Max with Seminar Report

Introduction to Technical Seminar Topic on Wi Max:

It is the wireless broadband network. There are many types of broadband service available like fixed line broadband that are wireless service and they are called as fixed line broadband. Next broadband was mobile broadband that have additional features and more portable. And the next and the advanced broadband service that comes was mixture of both mobile and fixed line broadband that is Wi-Max. It is based on the microwave technology. This technology is based on the four parts or stages:

First generation:in this cables and DSL are used for wireless systems and they have frequency range between 2.5GHz to 3.5 GHz. They are very high speed systems and can support more than 100 megabytes speed. They are fixed wireless communication.

Second generation: they are used to provide more capacity than the previous generation. In this more advanced signal processing is used and better antennas were used.

A MAN network is also developed in 1998 by IEEE named as 802.16. This network was developed for metropolitan area. They have the bandwidth of 10GHz to 66GHz. They used single carrier modulation and TDM.

Wi-Max features: they provide very high speed data transfer. They are mobile means can be anywhere. Provide best quality of the service. They are secure and their architecture is based on the IP. Advanced antennas are used for the communications. Resources are allocated to the every user separately. Bandwidth they use can be changed according to the requirement.

Architecture: they use IP based network so as to keep security. Different mobile station is developed to provide the network. Access networks are used that have more than one station and gateways to have complete network access. Connectivity network is also used which provide the IP connectivity and IP network functions.

CSE Technical Seminar Topic on Computer Viruses with Seminar Report

Introduction to Technical Seminar Topic on Computer Viruses:

They are program that execute them-selves and created multiple copies of them and disturb the working of the devices like computers, mobiles, smart phones etc. they easily transfer from one device to other or on the same device. They can come through internet mainly from e-mail, they are just downloaded automatically and enter in the computer and start infecting the computer. They add themselves to the program and when the program is executed they also execute and then they search for the other to their code keep on adding to the other codes. Few viruses remain hidden in the computer and they cannot be detected using anti- virus or firewalls. There are many types of viruses:

File infector virus: they are the old virus; they add themselves in the code of other program and remain hidden. They are generally EXE, COM, SYS etc. when those code are executed they make copy of themselves.

Boot sector viruses: they are added in the computer boot files or in the memory where boot files are stored and thus they interrupt the booting of the computer. They were mainly spread when floppy disk are common.

Macro virus: these are the viruses that are created using the macro language and they comes with most of the to days applications. The most common language in VB that is used to design the MS-Word can also have the code of this virus.

Script virus: they comes from web sites as they form with scripting languages like java applets, Java Scripts, which run automatically when we open the page of the website.

They are not formed automatically; they are created intentionally by the programmers who have the knowledge of the programming.  People made just for fun or just to prove their knowledge.
