Vehicle Tracker and Speed Notifier Java Project

Purpose: In our daily life, we find many situations where it is necessary to find the vehicle location . This project targets to develop a mobile application in order to provide vehicle location and it also used to send speed notifications to user. It uses internet and can be accessed from anywhere.

Specifications of the project

  • Location tracking.
  • Sending speed notifications.
  • Basically we need two android applications in which one acts as parent app, another one acts as child app.
  • Whenever a parent application needs his respective child application location then we have to provide location and speed.
  • By saving latitude and longitude values in local server ,we can access child location.
  • Speed calculation like after reaching the destination, Distance/time.
  • We have to write an trigger like if speed reaches 50, then push an notification.

Working Of Vehicle Tracking

By using built-in GPS(Global Positioning System) child     application will send the respective Latitude(X) and Longitude(Y) values through a link to guardian/parent application through Notifications, E-Mail and SMS whenever guardian/parent wants to know their respective children.

Here Guardian/Parent can fix some speed limit if respective child cross that speed limit then guardian/parent will get continuous notifications through the application.

Introduction:

The Automation of Department Library project is aimed at developing an Automated System for the Department library. Department library as the name itself indicates that the library system within a department.

Existing system:

Here faculty will request the book, then the administrator will search for it and if the book is available it will be issued to them.

Collecting books from central library:

Books, journals and other are provided to each and every department. After receiving the books the administrator will send an acknowledge to the library.

Updation of files :

All the updations regarding book issues and returns are done manually.

These files are used for further references.

Demerits of existing system:

  1. More manual work as the number of books increases.
  2. More time consuming for searching and updating the files.
  3. Consumes large volume of paper work and time.

Proposed system

In the proposed system the administrator will do all the updations like issues, returns and any other operations automatically, which reduces the time consumption and increases the efficiency of the system.

Designing a Database System for Tourist Application

PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT:

The purpose of the project is to develop a distributed database system for tourist application by utilizing the knowledge and skills gaining from this subject. This project is chosen to enhance the technical skills that are acquired from lectures and lab exercises; every phase of this project includes implementation of various programming aspects of the subject. Working on this of project gives us a better experience that can be used in developing real time projects in coming future.

This project is nothing but developing a distributed database system for tourism/tourist application. Various phase of this project involves a database with several tables linked and has tourist information and in phase two we will be developing a standard web page that linked to the tourist database to retrieve tourist information. (As the knowledge and time is limited we will be making this project to satisfy the requirements of this subject, any additional features can be added later on).

EXISTING SYSTEM:

In present scenario, a customer has to visit various agencies and offices to plan a tour. The customer has to make reservations for travel and accommodation. The customer may have to collect information from various sources. It takes a lot of time to plan a tour and often the data may not be up to date.

PROPOSED SYSTEM:

The proposed system maintains a centralized repository of all related information such as tour packages, places, hotels and enables one to make reservations for various transportation modes. The system provides all the help and information that a customer generally requires. The system allows one to browse through all the details and information.

The system has been identified to be presented with the following modules:

Tours:

Organizing a tour involves many things, which includes flight reservation, accommodation reservation and local transportation booking. As a package of all these things, a tour package will be offered to the customers.

This module deals with managing everything as a package.

Flight Reservation:

This module only deals with flight reservation and it is specific to the users who would want to avail the flight reservation separately.

Hotel Reservation:

This module deals with accommodation reservation. It is specific to the users who would want to avail hotel reservation separately.

Local Transportation reservation:

This module deals with local transportation reservation. It is specific to the users who would want to avail local transportation reservation separately.

Administration:

The administration module centralizes all activities to be done in this application. It automatically allocates the hotel, and does the local transportation reservations if the customers opt for a package. Administrator also can add, delete and edit information related to packages, tours and accommodations.

The purpose of this application is to have a consistent and reliable system which can track all the activities within the company. It also provides supervisors and directors a tool that manages and estimates the company productivity on a monthly or weekly basis.

The system functional specifications can be used for streamlining activities, provide information flow and manage all the activities effectively. The process of “Organics Management System” is to provide software for the company which helps in tracking the team and individual transactions with the company.

The main objective of the project is to develop and provide an effective management system which can be used for managing shares, products and services. The module is developed based on the requirement gathered from the company. All the shares, products and services are sent to the administrator of the company for his approval before each transaction can be completed.

PROPOSED SYSTEM

The main aim of proposed system is to provide an automated managing system which can track all the daily activities in the Organic Farm. The development of a well-structured, secured and approval based system will allow staff and customers to understand better and will be able to contribute to the growth of the company.

The decisions, which are taken by the material managers, demands more quality information from the indenter with respective to quantity and time of the items required to meet the organisational production goals.

To meet the organisation goal in procurement of items a strong supporting system, by means of stock levels and cost effective. Thus a more flexible, simple user friendly software which can assist all the authorised persons at various levels in making decisions regarding stock of various materials, effective channelling of resources, maintaining important validation data and reduction in the reaction time. Computerization saves a lot of time regarding the maintenance and retrieval of data at crucial time, making the work easier and efficient.

This Query Handling System project is designed for the college students to handle the queries which are frequently asked by the students. In this Query Handling System project we are providing a chance for the student to clarify their doubts by posting the questions. Normally it is very hard to handle all this query clarification process manually. So here we are developing the project which provides automation process for the clarification of doubts by asking the students to post the question and get clarified with their doubts.

There will be many questions that are being posted frequently by the students to various departments in a college.  The College examination branch wants to maintain all the frequently asked questions in the database subject wise.  Time to time they will be updating the questions and the related answers into the database.

The primary goal of the Query Handling System is to provide an environment that is both convenient and efficient for the students and lectures through which the students can get clarified with their doubts and also for the administrators of a particular college to use in retrieving the information from database and also storing the information into database.

At the same time he delete the added topics also, adding the question with answers and storing the data in database. 

Administrator:

  • Admin can add the question with answers and it will be stored in database for students to retrieve it.
  • Admin will modify the answers.
  • The student post a question in certain department the respective administrator will answer the question and a copy of the answer will be sent to the student. 

Student:

  • Student post a question in certain department.
  • Student check the answer for which he is posted.
  • Student checks the answer for available questions.
