Paper Presentation on Airborne Internet

Introduction to Paper Presentation on Airborne Internet:

The internet sector particularly the broadband spectrum has seen growth in enormous proportions from the dawn of the 21st century. Be it food, results or internet, nowadays generation wants everything at a lighting quick speed. Today’s internet is all about live streaming, social networking, connecting and chatting with friends and family, downloading multimedia file etc. whereas internet was used for just sending mails and searching something in the older times.

The delay word is hated by many customers around the world and they want to utilize the maximum resources available at a lightning quick time. Satellite communication is the principal source of transmission in the current internet scenario and transponders would be installed in the satellite to send signals to earth and to manage the packet data services. Airborne internet is a latest innovation made with the help of a different platform named high altitude long operation (HALO). This new technology overcomes the drawbacks of the current satellite communication system. The speed range of the data packet transfer will be around 16 GB/s.

A wireless network platform is the principal technology on which the HALO works and this is achieved by installing a wireless router system inside an HALO aircraft operating across a specified area. These aircraft would be made up of a fixed wing frame and comes with twin turbofan propulsion system which increases the aircraft efficiency a notch higher and also allows these aircraft to operate at a high altitude.

With the star topology HALO aircraft becomes a hub of wireless communication network which will have many subscribers with authorized access. Subscribers can register with these services and can receive Wi-Fi signals from these HALO aircrafts virtually without any obstructions or delay. For business purposes, there would be HALO gateway setup in the ground and from through an ISP and PSTN networks we can send packets to remote metropolitan centers.

The altitude on which these HALO aircrafts would be operating is higher than normal passenger and higher aircraft and because of this weather factor is also negotiated leading to a totally uninterrupted signals at any weather or geographic conditions.

Airborne Internet Abstract and Report

Introduction to Airborne Internet Topic:

Internet world has always been under spotlight just because of the unending source of knowledge and news it provides to us. We are now mostly dependent on internet even for silly queries and information. Our main source of internet communication is through transponders installed inside a satellite.

Satellite internet has its own pros and cons, while it is effective most in rural areas, satellite internet often feels break up due to loss in signals due to many factors such as weather, plantations and geographical conditions. A two way satellite internet comprises of a dish which is 2-3 foot in size, uplink and downlink modems and a coaxial cable to connect dish and modem.

In order to overcome the cons of the existing system a new technology called High altitude long operation was suggested first by Angel technologies. It is basically providing high speed wireless broadband internet through the help of an aircraft hovering around various cities. This will ensure almost no delay to the consumer and the speed of the internet connection would be on the higher side.

A wireless network platform forms the basic structure of a HALO technology and the aircraft embedded with this technology will act as a wireless hub for all the subscribers. This aircraft will be built in a fixed frame with a twin turbofan propulsion system with star topology. Subscribers who subscribe to this technology will be scheduled to receive signals from the aircraft through the HALO gateway and ISP router. PSTN will ensure the network switching happens among networks so that we can run an office network through it.

Main important features of HALO network are

  • Highly restrictive and broad bandwidth
  • Significant communication latency
  • High computational power
  • No loss of signals
  • Can perform anywhere in any type of weather
  • Less costs

Term Paper on Airborne Internet with Report

Introduction to Term Paper on Airborne Internet:

Internet is one of the most used mediums in the modern worlds. Most of us are hugely dependent on internet so much so that we have to depend on it to search almost everything. Today’s generation believes in doing things the faster way, they just don’t have the patience at all for wait for pages to load or the movies to stream.

Most of the internet technology is dependent on satellite transmission technology which has its own merits and demerits. The proposed system airborne internet works on High altitude long operation or HALO process. It can handle subscribers of range of small to thousands and each access will be ubiquitous in nature.

An aircraft that is loaded with HALO features will operate at altitudes higher than ones used by commercial planes and this plane will act as a hub for wireless internet connection. These aircraft would fly around a specified area and there would another 3-4 flights operating in shifts. These airplanes will have twin turbofan propulsion system and a fixed wing frame that would hold up various components. The star topology helps in setting up a wireless hub communication system.

Less delay is ensured for the subscribers who access this technology by subscribing to it and correspondingly receives signals from the HALO aircraft. Weather factor would be not affecting HALO flights as it would be flying at a higher altitude and the total range of this system is spread over areas having 120 kilometers diameter.

The small packets of data are not managed effectively in the current system and also weather often comes as interruption for the satellite signals, also the interaction with local users are less. The costs of managing satellites are pretty huge and this proposed system can be set up at low costs.

The proposed HALO system would provide

  • Multimedia services which are seamless
  • Better user connectivity
  • Broadband on demand feature
  • Secured and reliable transfer of data
  • Uninterrupted services
  • Large bandwidth with speeds ranging 16gbps

Technical Seminar Report on Airborne Internet for CSE Students

Introduction to Technical Seminar on Airborne Internet:

From the dawn of the 21st century, the boom in the internet sector particularly the broadband spectrum is of enormous proportions. Nowadays generation wants everything at a lighting quick speed, be it food or internet. If internet was used for just sending mails and searching something in the older times, todays internet is all about live streaming, social networking, connecting on the go etc. Internet service provider is obliged to provide the best and fastest internet to the consumer without any sorts of delay.

Usually all the internet we use in today’s world use satellite communication as its principal source of transmission. The proposed system called airborne internet works on an altogether different platform named high altitude long operation (HALO) eliminates the drawbacks of the current satellite communication system and it can notch up to 16gbps bit capacity.

HALO works on a wireless network platform with the principal source being an HALO aircraft circling across a specified area. These aircraft would be consisting of a twin turbofan propulsion system and would be installed with a wing frame that is fixed. The hub of the wireless communication system would be installed inside the aircraft with the topology being a star. Subscribers can subscribe to this technology and can receive signals from these HALO aircrafts virtually without any type of delay.

These aircrafts would be flying at a higher altitude than usual commercial and cargo aircrafts.  As it is flying so high, the weather factor would be also negotiated. The whole system would be operating within a diameter of 120 kilometers.

The main drawback of the existing popular satellite system is that it fails to transfer small packets among small group of local users effectively. Also the cost of the whole satellite communication process is huge and requires a lot of control and effort to manage these type of communications. The proposed HALO system would provide multimedia services which are seamless, global user connectivity, broadband on demand feature, secured and reliable transfer of data etc.

Algorithms for Edge Detection CSE Seminar Report

Introduction to  Algorithms for Edge Detection Seminar:

As they say a picture speaks for a thousand words, a nice picture should express itself in the best possible way. There are so many softwares available in the market for image editing and processing. Most of us look at the beauty side of it but experts look for a perfect image with sharp and accurate edges with no discontinuities.

Sometimes there would be many irregularities in the boundary or edges of the image and in order to identify this type of irregularity edge detection process is available. This is done with the help of various edge operators which works for edge specific purposes. This operator is basically a 2-D filter which performs operation on the image edges and show null value at uniform edges and detects any type of large gradients within the image. There are many variables to determine which operator would be apt for a particular edge. Some of them are simple things by which we can decide the operator.

 Steps involved:

  • Orientation of the edges
  • Detection of noisy images

The structures of the edges also come into play as a gradual change in refraction may lead to non-unified edges.

Edge detection processes are classified into:

  • Gradient category
  • Laplacian category

Gradient category mainly deals with the image derivation and often is calculated on the average basis of the same whereas Laplacian method deals with ramp’s I-D shape. The zero crossings in the second derivation are searched for any edges.

There are many edge detection techniques such as Sobel operator which constitutes convolution kernel pairs; Robert’s cross operator which estimates spatial gradient’s absolute magnitude, Prewitt’s operator detects both horizontal and vertical edges, Laplacian of Gaussian which seals with second derivation 2-D isotropic measure, Canny’s edge detection algorithm which is more like a guideline for edge detection process.

Aeronautical Communication Seminar Abstract

Introduction to Aeronautical Communication Seminar Topic:

A lot of effort and time will go to design an aircraft cabin, from seating positions to entertainment consoles, pantry storage and the crew positioning everything is done with precise detail. The main sources of inspiration in these designs are done by keeping the interest of the travelers in mind.

The airline companies go through a lot of research to enhance the quality of service provided to the consumer as the competition is getting tougher by the day. The air travel of today is affordable but at the same time enjoyable, especially in long distance flights the quality of the service provided by the airline companies are excellent.

The only drawback in the glitzy world of airplanes is that we cannot access internet technology as it will hinder the air traffic control communication system. So there is a specific need of using other mediums of communication inside the cabin particularly the wireless medium.

Wireless medium is pretty powerful as there is no need of any wired architecture for communication, mainly 3 times of wireless standard architecture are used in the cabin namely UMTS or universal mobile telecommunication system with UTRAN air interface, Wireless LAN with specific IEEE standard and finally Bluetooth technology.

There is various wireless access segments used to make this wireless cabin architecture which also include a standard IP LAN which is wired. Satellite segment acts as a hub between terrestrial telecom networks and the airplane cabin. Service integrator connects the cabin services effectively leading to smooth service transportation. The service integrator builds up a good rapport with the satellite segment leading to an increase in QoS. Aircom service provider segment helps to establish a connection between various data networks at an un symmetrical rate of data.

The service integrator help the service to be transported being bundled. The wireless cabin communication system has to be dimensional well by various techniques such as multi-service model, traffic determination, proper mapping of traffic etc.

Seminar Topic on Aeronautical Communication for Final Year Students

Introduction to Seminar Topic on Aeronautical Communication:

Airplanes always fascinated all of us, the just sheer thought of travelling by air gave us extreme pleasure. Of late due to a huge increase in competition in the airline sector prices of air travel has become more and more affordable. Some of the facilities we get in an airplane is top class especially the comfort we get while travelling on an international flight.

The one problem with air travel unlike the road, water or rail travel is we cannot engage in communication inside the cabin as the communication signals will hamper with the air traffic control signals. We all will be advised to switch of our communication devices while on flight causing huge discomfort for all of us. So there arose a need for wireless communication system within the cabin that did not affect the air traffic controls

The main wireless technologies used in the cabin areUniversal mobile telecommunication system, Wireless local area network with IEEE 802.1 b standard and Bluetooth technology

With the help of these above 3 technologies the passenger can use their own devices for communications such as telephony and internet. The biggest advantage is that they could perform all of this communication from their own device.

The architecture of this setup is divided into four segments namely space segment which refers to the satellites which processes the signals, ground segment that controls the transmission signals and contains a terrestrial telecom router for communication processing, an aircom provider segment which will have service integrator and a VPN as well as option for QoS support and finally cabin segment which is placed inside the aircraft cabin will have a self-modem which receives signals from satellite. The service integrator will be present inside the cabin and will be attached to an IP mobility server which has options for AAA, VPN, DHCP and QoS.

Aeronautical Communication Seminar Report for Final Year Students

Introduction to Aeronautical Communication Seminar Topic:

In the earlier days air travel was considered only for the rich and the mighty, tickets for travelling in an airplane was out of rich for middle class people. Thanks to a boom in the air travel industry now everyone can afford an air travel these days. The number of increase in passenger meant tough competition among service operators with each airline company longing to provide maximum facilities and comfort to a traveler  Earlier communication inside the aircraft were limited only for the cabin crew members but now almost all international flights have advanced communication system for passengers on the move.

Since airplane architecture is compact in nature, wired communication would consume a lot of space and this lead to a demand in wireless communication technology to be implemented in. A detailed analysis was required at first before implementing such wireless technology which will benefit the passengers in a big way.

Mainly three types of wireless features are given to the passengers within the cabin:

  • Bluetooth technology
  • Universal mobile telecommunication system
  • Wireless local area network with IEEE 802.1 b standard

By implementing such wireless technology, the quality of service provided by these aircrafts goes up a notch. A passenger can bring his or her own devices such as laptops, smart phones, tablets etc. and can indulge in communication across the world. This facility would be extremely helpful for business people as they could be constantly on the net world even while travelling.

The architecture of this setup is divided into four segments

  • Space segment where the satellites used for communication are placed
  • Ground segment controls the transmission signals and will have a terrestrial telecom router
  • Aircom provider segment will have service integrator and a VPN which forms the backbone of the IP
  • Cabin segment receives direct signals from satellites and a self-modem will be present to receive it. The service integrator in it ensures the working of the 3 wireless mediums goes on smooth. An IP mobility server will be also present
