Microcontroller Based Anesthesia Injector Documentation

In our project “Microcontroller based anesthesia injector”, we developed an automatic anesthesia injector implementing embedded system technology. This micro controller based anesthesia injector provides the better solution in eliminating the problems caused due to the manual anesthesia injection.

It is an effective mechanism provided with a keypad for giving instructions along with the injection pump, when we pass an instruction using key board the micro controller receives the signal and it processes these signals and activates the stepper motor to drive the infusion pump accurately, the rotations of the stepper motor is controlled by the micro controller unit. Here we presented a report on Microcontroller based anesthesia injector based on the entire study and results of the project.

The circuits diagram of Microcontroller based anesthesia injector consists of temperature sensor for measuring the temperature variation in the body, Respiration Sensor to measure respiration, Heart Beat Sensor for  measuring heart beat, analog to digital converter to convert the analog signals from the human body into digital signals for the micro controller, stepper motor is used to control the angular movements of the Syringe Infusion Pump and the overall operation is performed under the supervision of micro controller.
