Campus Activity Portal Java Project

An “Campus Activity Portal” is a collection of Web forms, images, videos and other digital assets that is hosted on one or several Web server, usually accessible via Campus activity Portal is an application would be used by any branch and any year students, programmers, professors or any other staff of college.

This application provides information about the college and about departments  presents in the college and also provides all the possible soft copies of lecture  notes, all available useful e­books of each and every subject, all subjects old  question papers, syllabus copies, practical titles and all the material that any  student want during his engineering.

One additional feature of this application is “MESSAGE BOX” where students can shout about their queries and problems which are visible to all the members who are accessing this application so if any members have the solution they can put the solution on the same MESSAGE BOX. Anybody using this application would be able to post his / her queries and reply to other peoples post.

This forum would be handled by an administrator. The office staff and other staff member can upload their notices on particular branch section which will visible to all the student of that with the help of this web based application, a user can use a single account to access the notes. Faculty can also post notes in pdf, e­books, word documents, lecture videos and important notices through intra­net gateways. Student who want to send feedback or suggestion using MESSAGE. In our project database has been added. The working of the project is as follows.

The first page provides several links. The Home page contains several information about the site like campus, management, facilities, infrastructure, sports, placements etc. User Login module helps the user to login to the application. For that he must type the username and password correctly.

The login provision in this page helps the already registered user to directly access the application. In the Login link a  student, staff, administrator can login using the appropriate Username and  password, through which they can upload or access soft copies of notes i.e. E- books, pdf, word documents, notices etc. The flash news and the events corner display the latest developments, announcements and events associated with the college activities. The administrator displays notices.

The main aim of developing this Online Examination system is to provide all college examinations in educational institutions without manual efforts. Have developed this application using java and the MySql database.Here we divide the project into 3 major modules, They are Admin, Faculty, and Student.

As it is a well known fact that always there is a room for improvement, the organization should focus on few aspects such as concentrating on promo activities as well as organization campaigns. They keep the complete records of the vehicles and the clients. They also can track the vehicle that was hired by some client. They have developed recovery system in case of any information is lost. Every client has been given unique ID and password.

Modules in Vehicle Hiring System Project:

These systems have different modules like they store staff information, customer information and their vehicles details like price, name, model etc. These systems are only used by the administrator, sponsors, salesmen and supervisors.

Objectives for Implementing This Project:

Library Management System Project Abstract & SRS using Java & MySQL

The main of Library Management application is to keep the book in the proper format with its complete details including Author and the person who is issuing this book. Everything is managed from the database. We need to maintain the book cost and to check whether the books are available on the library or not.

The description of Project Working:

If the book is not available in the library then it should be removed from the database. Students are provided with 2 or 3 cards for the book. They can issue the book for 14 days and after they have to pay the fine per day rupee one. If the student lost the book he has to purchase the same book and submit to the library.

For the staff also they are given 3 cards and they also have same rule as per the students. This whole process in manually, we need to develop the fully automatic library that enables the user to search for the relevant book and they can also who have which book. We need computers in the library so that users can access online books. We need to bar code scanner, so the student just scans the code and the book will be issued.

The computers used in the library must be connected to each other via LAN at the speed of 10MBps. The student needs to enter his rollno and the details of the book. We can also add new feature of membership in the library in the starting of the year, they can become members and they will be issued the number to run this software. After they just need to enter the book number and their roll no and the book will be issued.

User module: this is developed for the users who can do operations to his profile or create chat rooms, do conferencing with the other users. He can add other user to his profile and talk to them and check whether they are online or not.

Conference module: this module is used by the administrator to develop the chat rooms and they can check the chat rooms which are currently available.

Reports module: this module gather all the data from different modules and present the report on that. This module can be accessed by the administrator only.
