The Magnetic Abrasive Finishing Process project is about the Magnetic Abrasive Finishing (MAF) process including the combination of non-ferromagnetic and ferromagnetic abrasives iron particles. It is utilized to do accomplish the function with the help of magnetic force.
The iron particles are increased with the help of magnetic field magnetically. The particles produce the fixed matrix composing trapped abrasives. This is known as Flexible Magnetic Abrasive Brush (FMAB) that produces motion against the metal surface which cleans the surface.
The MAF studies include parameters like mesh number of abrasive, working gap, accurate motion on cylindrical, and work-pieces on type of material, non-ferromagnetic or ferromagnetic only.
The iron powders possess much effect in the ferromagnetic work-piece. If the surface roughness increases then mesh size also increases. As surface roughness increases, the effect of current can be visible on all the parameters.
The working space among work piece and the magnet is accomplished with magnetic Abrasive particles (MAP). It includes abrasive powder and ferromagnetic particles. The magnet is made by sintering of ferromagnetic and abrasive particles. The particles are connected with the line of magnetic force to produce flexible magnetic abrasive brush (FMAB) among the magnetic pole.
This brush acts like cutting tool for completing the task. On moving magnetic N-pole, the Magnetic Abrasive Finishing Brush (MAFB) also moves like a grinding wheel depending on forces and abrasive particles.
Conclusion:
The aim of this project is to improve Magnetic Abrasive Finishing Process and process parameters effect on the surface while MAF ferromagnetic. The experiments are identified with the help of design expert V.7 software produced in the process.
