The Problem of Controlling Four-Stroke Engines


      The Mechanical Btech Project  “The Problem of Controlling Four-Stroke Engines” is presented here to explain the generation of hydroelectric power from the Jhimruk River. This was identified in the year 1960 and was studied by the Nepal electricity authority. This paper here gives the details of the river and the agreement details of the hydroelectric project.

       The Jhimruk hydroelectric power station is located in Pyuthan district and the tributaries which are within the range of 1.5 km of each other and are at an elevation difference of around 210 m. the power plant is situated at Ramdi VC.


            The Project Potential of generating hydroelectric power describes a run of the river with daily pondage and has a capacity of 12 MW. The annual estimate energy is around is 72 GW. In the hydroelectric power generation functioning that consists of electro-hydraulic power system, turbine systems and main control system. The speed of the turbine is measured by inductive initiators.

         A hydroelectric power station consists of a switchyard comprising of large breakers and towers in an area located close to the plant. The substation serves as a distribution center from where electrical power is given to the plant from outside and electrical is given away from the plant.

       There are at least two main buses and presence of high voltages. There are gas and oil circuit breakers are present here as well. Manual operation of motor which is used to disconnect the breaker from electrical isolation. The switchyard of this power station has a 15 mVA power transformer and can generate a voltage of 6.6 kV to 132 kV for proper transmission.
