Vehicle Tracking System Design and Implementation Using GPS Project Report

Introduction to Vehicle Tracking System Design and Implementation Using GPS Project:

Objective:

This project describes on how to provide security to vehicles using GPS.  A remote tracking server and real time vehicular tracking system were installed in the vehicle for easy tracking of vehicle. Information about the vehicle will transfer to actual tracking server by making use of GSM\GPRS modem on GSM network by sending a SMS or transfer the data to tracking server via GPRS using direct TCP\IP connection.  Tracking server also has GSM/GPRS modem which receives vehicle information through GSM network and placed the same information in a database. This vehicle security system, which installed in the car helps to reduce the auto theft.

Overview:

Vehicle Security system is required during auto theft. So, whenever an intrusion occurs, owner of the car will get intimation through SMS with the help of this security system. The SMS alerts car owner who can take further action by intimating the same to cops.   Objectives of this project are developing automatic vehicle location system using GPS for alerting the car owner by providing the vehicle information to the car owner.  Vehicle current location will be detected with the help of vibration sensors and Ultrasonic sensors by making use of In-vehicle unit which installed in the vehicle. When vehicle information is extracted by In-vehicle unit it has to reach tracking server then the same will display to the vehicle owner through SMS.  GSM modem is required to transmit data to tracking server over GSM network.

Conclusion:

To track vehicle location when it is auto theft then both in-vehicle unit and a tracking server are used. The vehicle information transmits to tracking server using GSM modem over GSM network. Tracking server has one GSM modem to receive the vehicle information over GSM network and stores the same in database. This data will display to the vehicle owner via SMS.

Vehicle Monitoring and Control System Using Micro controller Project

Introduction to Vehicle Monitoring and Control System Using Micro controller Project:

We know that most of the accidents involve heavy vehicles such as trucks and busses. The main reason is because of them using huge engines and complex running structure compared to smaller cars there is greater risk of any of the system being failed while the vehicle is moving at a high speed or even because of driver error an accident may be caused.

Hence there is a need to monitor the vehicles parameters such as speed of the vehicle, temperature of engine, fuel availability, battery monitoring, proximity detection and coolant level is essential for the safety of vehicle. This information should not only be visible to driver but also to the base stations/owners.

In this system we make use of PSOC – programmable system on chip instead of microcontroller which reads all the parameters of the vehicle and transmits the same data to base stations using RF frequency.

PSOC’s has powerful processor architecture, advanced peripherals, Flexible on-chip memory, precision programmable clocking, programmable pin configuration, additional system resources and complete development tools.

Operation: – The important parameters of the vehicle are measured using appropriate sensors and this information is transferred to PSOC. Then the PSOC samples the data at regular intervals and the corresponding actions to be taken are stored in its memory for later or immediate action.

The speed of the engine is monitored every second and is converted into RPM which is displayed to driver continuously and when speed exceeds a certain value, the PSOC automatically activates a motor which apply the brakes. In this way the speed is limited to a predefined value.

Similarly all other parameters can be sensed and controlled immediately or at later stage at a base station. Hence this system of Vehicle-monitoring and control system using microcontroller helps in better management of heavy vehicles and reduces the accidents to highways to greater extent.

Vehicle Density Based Traffic Light Signaling System

Introduction to Vehicle Density Based Traffic Light Signaling System Project:

Traffic management is one subject on which every year millions of dollars are spent across the world to provide better traffic management. Especially in the developed countries such as India there is huge scope for a better traffic management.

Presently traffic is managed manually at smaller junctions and by using the signals lights (Red – Green – Yellow) at major junctions. This system will not serve for effective using of road space in major cities. The latest technology that can be employed is by using signal lights which function based on density of vehicles on the roads.

In this system all the timings of signal lights are fed to a computer basically termed as base station and through this station all the signals are sent to microcontrollers (89C51) placed on signal lights to operate accordingly. Sensors are connected to microcontrollers on every signal location which senses/reads the density of traffic in that particular road and sends the information to base station. Hence a bi-directional information flow system should be in place between signal lights and base station. Based on this information on density of traffic the signal light timings are automatically changed and also if needed traffic will be diverted to roads where traffic is less.

For sensing the traffic we can either use laser sensors or inductive type metal sensors. For transiting data we can use 433 Mhz carrier frequency. And use RS232 protocol for microcontroller (895C1) communication.

By deploying this model in real time we can save time being wasted in standing at signal, petro / fuel consumption can be reduced and make traffic management accurate.

Seminar Topics for ECE Branch On Springs

Introduction to  Springs Seminar Topics:

A device which changes its shape when external force is applied and returns to its near original shape when force is removed is termed as spring. Here the energy used to extend the spring is stored in the spring when extended and this energy is released back when the force is removed.

If we study the history of springs it goes way back to 3rd century B.C and since then many engineers made use of spring mechanism in different fields of life such as military, agriculture, machinery etc. Since then technology had vastly evolved and springs are used widely in various fields in present day to day life.

Mainly springs can be classified into 5 types.

Cylindrical or Conical shaped springs: – These are just ordinary springs in the shape of a cylinder and well coiled.

Extension spring: – Spring on which extension force when applied the distance between coils increases are called as extension springs.

Compression spring: – When force is applied on these coiled springs the spring is pushed together and the spring is shortened are called as compression springs. These are mainly used in automobiles.

Torsion spring or coiled spring: – Springs that are used to apply tension at twists are called as torsion springs mainly found in clip boards and hair clips.

Leaf springs: – Springs which are not in coil shape but looks as a shallow arch for example springs used in automobiles such as heavy trucks in the rear are called as leaf springs.

Latest ECE Technical Seminar Topic On Witricity With Seminar Report

Introduction to  ECE Technical Seminar Topic On Witricity :

In present Day to day life electricity is an essential commodity for smooth running of life. Life without power is un-imaginable but at the same time electricity means wires/cables. If we dream of a concept where we can eliminate all wires in gadget world it will revolutionize the electric world. This concept of wireless electricity is basically termed as Witricity.

Witricity principle works by using coupled resonant objects for carrying of electricity to objects without use of wires. This system consists of an electric transmitter and a receiver.

The working principle of receiver is just as radio receiver where the device needs to be in the range of transmitter. Witricity produces electricity with the use of resonant magnetic field and simultaneously stops any wastage of power. With this system in place we can achieve transmission up to a range of 100 watt.

MIT researchers had power a bulb of 60 watt from an electric transmitter placed at a distance of 7 feet and achieved efficiency to a tune of 40%. To make this possible they used two copper coils each in twenty inches diameter. They are placed so they will resonate together in the MHz range. Here one coil is connected to a power source and other coil to a bulb. This setup transmits electricity to bulb.

Witricity principle is emerging in technological circles. With this principle we can transmit power to tubes, bulbs, cells, cameras and all gadgets which work on lower power. This is non-hazardous to many living organisms.

Voltage Stability Analysis under Normal and Contingency Conditions Mini Projects EEE Power Systems

Introduction to Voltage Stability Analysis under Normal and Contingency Conditions:

The project aims at designing a voltage stability analyzer which can work effectively under normal and contingency conditions. In this we will design a algorithm so as to calculate the voltage fluctuation occurring and maintain a constant supply voltage. In this paper we will discuss the about the algorithm for calculating the voltage fluctuations occurring in the device.

Brief into the working of voltage stability analyzer:

Due to small disturbances occurring in the device the system may collapse, so to control these we will design a algorithm. In this we will use an L-index method for calculating the voltage fluctuation values. By suing the L index method we will obtain scalar values of the load elements used in the circuit.

By maintaining the L index values at 0 to 1 margin the voltage fluctuations are controlled. By using this we can know the load elements values so that we can know the disturbances occurred due to load elements. The software for analyzing the voltage values is designed using mat lab program.

The application software predicts the change in voltage values and maintains a constant phase margin. This is a cost effective system for controlling the voltage fluctuations in electrical devices.

Applications:

By using this device we can control the voltage fluctuations occurring in a device. As we can know the voltage values by using the stabilizer we can adjust the voltage values according to our requirement. By using this device we protect the device from damages occurring due to over voltages and short circuits. The voltage stability analyzer can work efficiently in both low voltage and high voltage conditions.

An Efficient Iris Authentication Using Chaos Theory Based Cryptography for E-Commerce Transaction

Introduction to An Efficient Iris Authentication Using Chaos Theory Based Cryptography for E-Commerce Transaction:

The main objective of this paper is to give secure transaction to the customers over internet. Generally, as the technology is advancing and globalization is rapidly growing.e-commerce came into existence ,i.e the products and services are sold over internet. Many of the frauds are being done over credit cards when the payment is being done.

To avoid this fraud, this theory has developed.IP technology is widely used by various devices. IP technology uses HTTP protocol, but this protocol uses high power. To, overcome all this disadvantages, a new protocol called constrained application protocol has been developed.

Brief into design and working

COAP is a web transfer protocol developed for resource constrained networks. It uses REST architecture. REST architecture allow applications to rely on loosely coupled services which can be shared and reused and are controlled by the server and identified by a Universal Resource Identifier (URI). It uses some methods used by HTTP.

COAP supports additional functionalities such as multicast, asynchronous communication and subscriptions. The packet overhead compression has drastically reduced the power consumption and has increased the power life time. This is being used in many web applications also. The main aim of the application is to allow the user to access data directly from a web browser.

The complexity of gateway is reduced and the system scalability is increased. Hence, by using this safe transaction can be done by the customers.
