Introduction to Product Counter Display:                            

The main aim of this project is to display 7 segment digital numbers while power is OFF. In this circuit counter is used for counting purpose. It counts thousands of times. This 7 segment display is mainly used in railway stations, traffic signals, shopping malls, etc. Advantages of this technique are low-power consumption, less cost, and no need of person. In this display only red color is preferred because it has high wavelength, which is visible to long distances.       

                           The hardware requirements for this circuit are 2-ICs (LM311 OP-AMP, CD4033 COUNTER), resistors, LED, LDR, Seven segments display CE C5611, variable resister (47k), and power supply (9v).

                            LM311 is a voltage comparator, which has a input from the ground and the output referred to the ground. It has the input which is thousand times lower than the circuit voltage. So low input and has a temperature range from 0°C to +70°C. It can operate the signals at 5v supply. Resisters are used for only two purposes, for controlling the flow of electric current and providing the desired voltage to the electric circuit. CD4033 counter has 5 stages. It is a Jonson decade counter. It has a advantageous of displaying numbers when power dissipation is low count is important. It has a output decoder, which converts the decode code into seven segment numbers. A variable resistor has 3-terminals, which has a slide for adjustable voltage. If 2-terminals are used, act as rheostat or variable resistor. It is mainly used for directly control the audio signals and significant power. It is also called as potentiometer.

                                 LED is light emitting diode, which is used for light display. In previous years only LEDs were giving only low brightness red color available. But now a day infrared, ultraviolet and visible wavelengths are available with high brightness. This type of LED is used in this circuit. LDRs are photo resistors, which are made up of semiconductors. It is used for increasing the light intensity while decreasing the resistance. It is a extrinsic semiconductor. 7-segment display has 28 LEDs with 7×4 array structure. It is used for displaying the numbers from 3 to 9. All these kind of equipments are used in this circuit. If some modifications to this circuit (may add or remove), it will be used as bugler alarm and count the key presses.

Introduction to A Smart Reorganization Of Vehicle Based E-Governance System In Mobile Device Project:

Now a day the traffic plays a very important role in our day-to-day life activities. It is the most problem for job holders, business mans, students, etc (the people), Not only in city but also at highway passageways. Now some business persons have provided the toll gate systems at highways. Basically the purpose of tollgates is to recollect the amount from the vehicles, which have been coming from out of city or town. It was provided by the person, who has taken the road contract of that area. Only they will collect the toll payment. In this process if many vehicles are come, they should follow queue and traffic is heavy in that place. So it will take time to reach their destinations. To overcome these types of problems, a new Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) was introduced. It is the technology for electronic payment of toll. It checks whether the vehicle has registered or not and give the alerts. If any violence occurs, debit the related account. So there is no chance to stop the vehicle at the tollgate. This kind of technology was implemented in united -states and other countries. So we enriched the toll collection technology. Now the fast technology in ETC with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is started.

                              RFID is released up to 950MHZ, the main advantage of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) is by using computer technology, electronic technology, and modern communication technology develop the ECT with RFID and vehicle safety. By using this we can avoid the traffic jam problems, can create safety road environment. Etc. The main aim of this project is to design a automatic tollgate system as well as online transaction with vehicle security through mobile by SMS.

                              The software requirements are Windows XP OS, Java framework, MySQL DB and hardware requirements are RFID, GSM, GPS, PC, RS232, Camera, and Microcontroller.

                               Global system for mobiles has been working in global position system. Camera is located at the vehicle position, so it will take the photos of a vehicle and RFID generate the magnetic radiations and frequency on the number plate of the vehicle. If the vehicle has registered already then no problem if not alert SMS has been sending to the owner of the mobile.

For data transfer RS232 cable is used and controller is used is for the controlling of those sections purpose. SNMP is one of the protocols, which is suitable for network management of ETC system because it’s easy use and strong expandability. By using this we can develop the highway efficiency, speedup the vehicle passage and decrease the possibility of unsuccessful and mistaken collection.

ECE Project Report on A New Single Phase Soft-Switching Power Factor Correction Converter

Introduction to A New Single Phase Soft-Switching Power Factor Correction Converter:

           From several years, the power electronic systems and devices have been playing important role in our day-to-day life activities. By using these electronic devices frequently, they should generate harmonic current because of their destroying or damaging the electricity network.  Receiver should be affected by the harmonics while doing the operation on receiver. To overcome this effect our engineers are creating electronic devices.

             The main role of this project is, by using low harmonic and High-power factor converters with soft-switching (SS) techniques improve the efficiency, high reliability and decrease the cost of components. These converters are used because of the previous used converters (A-D converters) have some disadvantages are low power factor and voltage distortion, slow varying ripples at output dc load, low efficiency and large size of ac and dc filters because of low power  quality in terms of injected harmonics. High-switching frequencies are being required by these converters. High switching losses, increased electromagnetic efficiency (EMI) and reduced converter efficiency all these drawbacks are caused by the operation of high-switching frequency. To overcome these drawbacks we should use those SS techniques.

                        In the working principle, mainly SS has four types of groups are zero-voltage switching (ZVS), zero-current switching (ZCS), zero-voltage transition (ZVT), and zero-current transition (ZCT) with pulse width modulation(PWM) control. In this operation we have switching power loss; it has current and voltage losses during switching period. Power diode’s reverse recovery loss and discharge energy loss of the main switch parasitic capacitance. Compare to previous converters ZVS and ZCS are advanced, compare to these converters ZVT and ZCT are more advanced. So switching power loss is completely overcome.

                        In this we have mainly two switches. One is  Main switch with main diode consists of one parasitic capacitance of main switch and diode, upper and lower snubber inductances, One snubber capacitance. Another switch is Auxiliary switch consists of four auxiliary diodes; One is magnetization inductance, output and input leakage inductances of the transformer respectively. For one cycle twelve stages will be taken by the proposed converter. To achieve this SS there must be four conditions; Main switch is turning ON with ZVT and turn OFF with ZCT. Auxiliary switch is turn ON&OFF with ZCS.

        The features of proposed converter are there is no extra current or voltage stress on the main switch and main diode, all semiconductors and other components work with SS, passive snubber is not required, a common ground is used for both main and auxiliary switches so easily control the converter, by using silicon carbide (SIC) diode’s reverse recovery problem will be recovered, etc.

     Finally by using this new proposed converter (PFC) realized with 200v ac, getting output is 400v dc , It is switched with 100kHz for 300W output load. For full load 98% of efficiency will achieved. Finally 0.99 value of power factor was reached by our new PFC converter with sharp sinusoidal signal.

Resizing Image Using Bilinear Interpolation Algorithm in MATLAB Project Report

This project deals about the relation between picture and program that is Graphical User Interface (GUI) .using the GUI user can easily interact to system controls like menus preparing the slides, buttons, menu bars and list boxes so for. Normally earl year version of the system had works with command only like MS-DOS, but these days lot of the system working Graphical model. A GUI is graphical model that is used to interact with electronic device using the pictures or images. It is like play station,Mp3 players and portable media.

This tool is logically design and to involve the programs. This GUI depends upon the screen resolution. The screen resolution is changing the picture size. Depending upon the image size GUI resolution can changed. According to the MATLAB it doesn’t need any kind of the Dimension, using the Arrays developed the code. While taking the image most of JPEG and GIF format and PNG format

The System is total depends on the Image size, the image size takes the representation of the Grayscale, truecolorRGB, Indexed, Binary and unit8 .Grayscale indication for image size is M×N and visibility White=1 and black=0.Truecolor RGB is indicated using Matrix size M×N, indexed is indicate using the colour map size k×3, Binary image indicates using the values 1 or 0 and unit8 is taking double size of image

Implementation of Fuzzy Temperature Control Using Microprocessor

Fuzzy Temperature Control Using Microprocessor project is designed as a system which can control the temperature of the devices using the basic fuzzy logic, this application checks the current temperature and checks weather it exceeds the desired limit, if then the application informs the user about the limit has been exceeded using an message send via SMS. This report discusses about the various components used and how they are been designed in a PCB.

Fuzzy logic controls are based on the theory of fuzzy set. Since the increased use of embedded system and microcontroller fuzzy logic has become more popular. Fuzzy logic is classified as a high level programming paradigm. Which is more appropriate for the embedded system when digital information processing is been used in case of microcontrollers. The main characteristic of fuzzy logic is that it transforms the binary world of computing into a computation basedon continues intervals of time. These property is been used by the embedded system.

The coprocessor design can be more costly than a software solution on a standard microcontroller. Another technique implemented in fuzzy logic is resolution analysis. The major reason for the fast execution of fuzzy logic in microcontroller is that it lies in identification of intelligent shortcuts during the compilation time itself in the PC. Some of the main advantages of fuzzy logic control are: High level linguistic variablebased control task description; it can beused for linear and nonlinear control, suitable for microcontrollerbased systems, Easy to implement multiinputmultioutput control system. Some of the main devices used in this project are LCD, program counters, Memory control unit, keypad, isolation circuits, power amplifier, ADC (analog to digital converter), buzzer, and LM35 microcontroller.

This paper also discuss about the whole device  with their pin diagram such as ADC 0809 controller IC and their working related to the project. Global system for mobile communication (GSM) are also been related to this project since the report are to be send to the user through the SMS service provided by the GSM architecture.

Ador Traders Electrical Engineer & Contractors Project Report

The main purpose and goal of this project is to design the system that performs the entire activities such as agreement details, FDR details, I/C tender details, employee information, payment updations, billings and taxes of Ador Traders Company. This software will mainly update the information on FDR submitted from the banks along with the tender’s information. In order to know the agreement details, employees of Ador Traders can use this software by entering the agreement no’s in computer. Before the existence of this system, employees of this company are performing all these tasks manually and all these are performed in paper work wasting money and time of the company.

In order to support this company, we are implementing this software through which each and every activity can be updated and stored in the computer regularly. The main special features of this system are employees can enter FDR details along with I/C tender details, employee data, agreements information as well as the entire account transactions. This project is a two way beneficial process through which the administrators as well as the employees of Ador Traders will be benefited. The administrators will be capable of maintaining the entire updates and records related to their company using their administrator details such as administrative user id and password. As specified earlier employees can use this system for different manual activities performed by them and they can do it by using computer. 

Hardware Requirements

The hardware requirements of this system needs Pentium (III) CPU 2.66 GHz with 128 MB RAM or Higher and 20 GB Hard Disk or Higher as well as LCD 17” Color Monitor along with Keyboard and Optical Mouse and finally the Printer.

Software Requirements

The software requirements of this system need Visual Basic 6.0 along with Oracle 9i as backend and Windows Vista, XP or 2003 as the operating system.

Design and Implementation of a Practical Aircraft Position and Reporting Identification Beacon (PRIB) in MATLAB

Design and implementation of a practical aircraft position and reporting identification Beacon project is a MATLAB project. Main aim of this project is to develop a new method for tracking aircrafts which does not depend on transponders. In order to develop this system we are using PRIB (practical aircraft position and reporting identification beacon) technology. In order to replace existing transponder system new system should fulfill size, cost, and power efficient and satisfy financial constraints. PRIB technology works on GPS technology in which GPS receiver will track aircraft signals and send to base station which is located at different locations in the form of radio signals. In this paper we provide detailed explanation on design and manufacture of PRIB. Performance is compared between existing transponders and PRIB system and detailed report is provided.

This application uses Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying (GMSK) modulation technique which is one of the secured and efficient modulation techniques used in wireless communication system.

In existing system transponders are used for tracking aircrafts which had shown few issues in recent years mainly at the time of terrorist’s attacks using aircrafts. These transponders can switch off deliberately and stops tracking aircraft for a base station. In order to solve this problem a efficient method need to be developed.

In present system we use PRIB based system which can work without depending on transponders. This system works on GPS technology which is secure and cost efficient.

In this project we provide detailed explanation on topics like aviation survey, global position system and modulation, hardware implementation, software implementations, measurements and experimental results and future development.

Electronic House Project Abstract

Introduction to electronic house:

The main aim of this project is to save the power in a house hold environment. We will employ certain techniques to reduce the usage of power. In this we are six major equipments which are use monitor all the devices present. By using this model we can have a monitor control over the devices.  All the monitoring equipments are controlled using a remote controller. The six equipments are

Remote operated gate control;

This is used for opening and closing of the gates, it has a sensor placed in front of the gate which gives us the signal on the remote so that we can operate the gate. By using this we can provide safety to the house.

Auto adjustable timer unit:

By using this timer unit we can set the time control for the working of the devices , after the completion of the time the devices gets off. This is used to set time control for devices like water sprinkler in garden, and bed lights etc.

Remote operated appliances:

This is used for controlling the devices like fan, ac, tv ,washing machines etc. All these appliances made on or off by using the remote control.

Touch sensitive burglar alarm for internal security:

This is used for providing internal security to lockers and some cupboards. The sensor placed for these things gives an alarm when touched by a un identity.

Automatic gate light and bell system:

This device is to give  a bell and puts on lights when the person is entering. By this we can the power by reducing the unnecessary use of gate lights. From the automatic bell we can know when any one is coming.

Water level indicator and controller:

By  using this we can know the level of water in the tank and it automatically puts off the pump when the tank gets full. By using these equipments we can save the power.

Electronic Components Tester Project Report

Introduction:

The main objective of this paper is to design a device which can test the electronic components accurately. In this paper we will discuss the testing of electronic components and how to repair them. A multi meter like device is designed by using a 8051 micro controller. By using this we cannot know the operational parameters of the device but we know only whether the device is working or not.

Micro controller working:

We will select an AT89C52 microcontroller which comes under the family of 8051. It is an low power and high performance 8 bit cmos microcontroller. The special feature of this microcontroller is that it has 8kb of internal flash memory which is not available in most of the microcontrollers. It is a powerful and highly flexible for the design of embedded control applications. It is a 40 pin device in which 32 pins can be used for input and output purpose and it has 256 bytes of ram. It has idle mode which halts the normal execution and allows the interrupt to continue execution.

Testing process:

An IC555 timer is used to generate a pulse which is used for testing the electronic component. The pulse is fed to the input line of the micro controller. A control unit is present in the circuit so as to adjust the pulse frequencies accordingly. At the output line of the micro controller we connect the electronic components to check its working. We can see the output values in the lcd. By using this device we can check the working of transistors and diodes. The present available multi meters have only specific capability of checking only diodes or transistors. We cannot know the operational parameters of the components so cannot know at what point of value the component cannot work in the circuit. Thus we can conclude that this device is high performance capable and low cost when compare to that of available multi meters.

Electronic Circuit Breaker System

Introduction to circuit breaker:

Circuit breakers act like switches which detects the faults occurred and stops the flow of current by saving the equipment from voltage overflows and short circuits. It can automatically come back to working when the faults are rectified. Generally the faults in the circuits occur due to in continuous flow of current or by improper arrangement of load elements. The circuit breakers can be designed accordingly for lower voltage circuits and higher voltage circuits. An AT89C52 micro controller is used for monitoring the circuit.

Circuit design and Working:

The microcontroller is fed with the rectified voltage coming from the rectifier. All the load elements are connected to a relay switch.  The microcontroller monitors the voltage level required for the load elements, if it detects any change  the voltage levels to voltage fluctuations  then it automatically drives the relays to turn off. The rectifier bypasses the voltage levels and then the microcontroller again makes the relays turn on. These circuit breakers are mainly used as regulators in power circuits and in battery shunt circuits. The advantage of 89C52 is that it has a 8kb of flash  memory which can be reprogrammed any number of times. A step down transformer is used to obtain the required current for the load elements present.

Advantages:

The circuit breakers are very effective in protecting the load elements from voltage over flows an short circuits. It can automatically switch when the faults occur, where as a fuse cannot switchover. It can be used for lower voltage circuits and higher voltage circuits. It is low cost model when compared to other circuit protecting devices.
