Introduction to Crankshaft topic:

Crank shaft mechanical seminar topic explains about a combustion engine the motion of a piston is reciprocating linear. The majority of liberty crankshafts are made by using nickel – chromium steel. minimum physical properties: Elastic limit, 116,000 lb. per square inch; elongation in 2 in., 16 per cent, reduction of area, 50 per centralized impact, 34 ft.-lb.; Brunel hardness, 266 to 321. All crank shafts undergo heat treatment to check its capacity of withstand for high temperatures

In continuously variable transmission (CVT) infinite number of effective gear ratios changes from maximum to minimum values. The difference between other mechanical transmissions and continuously variable transmission (CVT) is few different distinct gear ratios to be selected. Better fuel economy can be achieved by enabling the engine to run at most effective revolutions per minute in continuously variable transmission (CVT) than other mechanical transmission systems.

Continuously variable transmission has been in use from so many years. In this system to transfer power from power source to load friction play major role in power loss .To overcome the limitations inherent in the current CVT embodiments employing friction, a conceptual, continuously variable, positive engagement embodiment has been proposed for investigation at Brigham Young University.

There is different type of continuously variable transmission (CVT) system in different automobiles. Two V-belt pulleys that are split perpendicular to their axes of rotation, with a V-belt running between them are used in most common CVT’s. The main components used in continuously variable transmission (CVT) are 1. A high-power metal or rubber belt,  2  . A variable-input “driving”  pulley,   3. An output “driven” pulley

Main advantage of using CVTs is it can be easily used as ideal transmission for different mechanical devices other than vehicles. power tools and drill presses are few areas where CVTs usage plays important role. Applications of CVTs are also mainly seen in two wheeler and four wheeler like tractors, scooters and snow mobiles. In all these applications rubber belts of high density are used which is not efficient because they may stretch and slip.

Increasing of automobiles in cities created difficulties for drivers to park their cars. To overcome this problem Autonomous Parallel Parking RC Car is created. The RC car identifies the parking space and parallel park by itself. The RC car is fixed with distance sensors. by using this distance sensors the car search for the parking space and when the car identified a space it checks whether the space is enough for parking. When it determines the space is enough for parallel parking   it starts parking in that space. It uses the information from the sensor fixed at right and front sides of the car

There are very less tools available for parallel parking. Tools developed by car manufacturers are very expensive. So by using RC car as a proxy for real car we can overcome these problems. This project is divided into two parts. One is control system and the other is move car algorithm. The control system implements the directions given by move car algorithm.

In Autonomous Parallel Parking RC Car the control system contains all the hardware to interface with the move car algorithm and to drive the car for parking. The parking space detection and parking algorithms use information from the distance sensors.
