Introduction to Comparison of CDMA AND TDMA Systems Final Year Project:
In today’s world cell phone has become the very important part of the world. TDMA and CDMA are also types of cell phone in which TDMA stands for time division multiple accesses and CDMA stands for code division multiple accesses but this two technology differ from each other a lot.
TDMA was developed in late 80’s which cover the drawbacks of FDMA that is frequency division multiple access. In this the analog signal is converted into digital signal to improve the communication system. In this technology two or more information are transferred over the same channel by computing the time interval.Further this technology was used in GSM that is global system for mobile and was introduces in 1991 in which one call jump from one channel to another in short interval.
It performs a hand off when switched from one site to another. It has many advantages such as it allow fast transmission of data and voice. It provide speed of 64 kbps to 120 kbps and also provide service of sms, fax video conferencing, and also multimedia services.
CDMA provide a multiple access [point and it is based on the spread spectrum. It uses wide bandwidth by suing code which reduces the noise and interference in the network. It allows transferring the information over the some channel without time sharing. This was developing to overcome the drawbacks of TDMA technology. It can be used in rural areas where GSM technology cannot be reach. It has strong bet work support. It works on the bandwidth with a speed of Mhz. it has some problem associated with it that in it the channel pollution is produced due to single channel and many users. And the main problem is limited availability of handset because the major companies are GSM.
