Project on Unified Power Flow

Unified power flow paper explains about how to control changes in transmission line by injecting required voltage to the transmitting line. Transmission control on power flow is a important issue that to be controlled to save power. So this paper explains in detail about new method called Unified power flow controller which is implemented at transmission line.

The main features of this method are it will control transmission line in power system and manged bus voltage in transmission line. This method is initialized between two transmission lines and this method of connection is called as interline unified power flow controller. This application uses FACTS technology. This paper covers details of this method with block diagrams introduction and 48 Pulse VSI, IUPFC Model, Main functionalities of IUPFC and Analysis.

Online Monitoring system of Temperature of Conductors and Fittings Based On GSM SMS and Zigbee projects main idea is to develop a application for industries where temperature is key factor so using this online application engineers can analyze temperature variations of the conductors and there fittings while working and solve serious problems caused from temperature variations in a industry. This project uses there feature of GSM SMS with Zigbee protocol for analyses. Zigbee is a free open source protocol which can be used for wireless applications. Using this protocol overall development cost can be reduced. Using this application engineers can easily calculate the variations in conductors due to change in temperature. This model comprises of MC1319X and MC9S0. This paper will provide block diagram and its detail applications and hardware and software requirement for developing this application.

Method of Measuring Power Quality and Development of Monitor Device Abstract

Method of Measuring Power Quality and Development of Monitor Device project analyzes the main factor in power system which influences power quality, and the necessity of developing monitor device of power quality is analyzed. Measuring method of power quality indexes and the feasibility of monitor device’s realization are also researched. Furthermore, the software is programmed and PS-3 power quality monitor device is developed. The hardware system is composed of industry control computer, data acquisition and analysis module based on 80C198 micro controller and external analog signal transforming box. Every standard of power quality can be tested and analyzed by device developed in this project. At last, the device is used to test the 35 KV bus of a steel factory. The results show that the methods adopted are correct and the precision is higher.  According to the experts, the problems of electric power supply cost the industry and the business community as a whole, 10billion Euros every year.

Controlling Ac Lamp Dimmer Through Mobile EEE Abstract

The main aim of Controlling Ac Lamp Dimmer Through Mobile project is to control the lamp in the remote area by transferring related data corresponding to intensity of the lamp through mobile. The project is divided into two modules. One module arrangement includes a micro controller, DTMF decoder, and mobile handset where as the other module consists of mobile hand set. DTMF stands for dual tone multi frequency, which is going to generate equivalent signal for the keys being pressed at the transmitting block (controlling block).    The system has been used to control the lamp at the remote location by sending signals through mobile handset. Here one mobile is placed at the transmitting side and the  another  mobile at the receiving side. The mobile at the receiving side receives the signals from the transmitting side which upon received signal controls the vehicle direction whose signals have been decoded using DTMF decoder. Total intensity of lamp is being controlled by the signal sent by the mobile at the transmitting side. Intensity is adjusted  by pressing/selecting different keys in mobile at the transmitting side, these signal will be received by the mobile at the receiving side and converted to equal digital data and given to microcontroller  here controller adjusts the PWM . the PWM is fed to the TRIAC where lamp is connected.  Each key will have predefined intensity levels.
