Automatic Identification and Data Capture Technology Seminar Topic

Automatic identification and data capture technology (AIDC) is to identify an object or people through a machine automated process. All of this process are been done automatically without any human involvement, the only case in human involvement is when a user scanning an AIDC equipped item which is bar coded. Information related to the object is known as identification data. The data may be of text, image, video or sound. Before writing the data to the computer system, data should be converted to a digital file, these file are been analyzed by a computer with the file in the computer database to provide authentication to enter to the secured system.

AIDC consist of three main principles: Data encoding, Scanning, Data decoding. Some of the main AIDC Technologies are Barcode, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Biometrics, Magnetic Stripes, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Smart Cards, Voice Recognition, Electro Article Surveillance (EAS), and Real Time Locating System (RTLS). This paper discusses all the above technologies in brief.

Sensors play an important role in the automation and control system. Sensor are an measuring device that measure a physical quantity and converts into signal that can be easily read by the instrument used, it is capable of giving detailed description about the given object. Applications such as aerospace, robotics, cars are making use of the sensors. Newly designed sensors are capable of collecting information much more than an traditional sensors, traditional sensor are basically wired whereas newly designed sensors are wireless which make more useful in almost all the application. The use of AIDC technologies has helped in identification of objects or people in much more efficient and accurate way.The correctness in identification has reduced the need for repeated verifications of data for assurance and safety. AIDC has helped millions of business processes and system to operate in faster processing and with efficient authentication process to ensure security to the users.

Comparison between Windows XP and Windows 7 Seminar Topic

This paper discusses about two main operating systems in the market. Operating system provides a platform for the application software to execute. It performs as an intermediate between the application software and the hardware part of the system.

While comparing the two operating system both are been designed by Microsoft, where windows XP was first released in year 2001 later on there were several versions of windows XP in the following years. Some of the main features of windows XP are fast user switching, remote desktop functionality, it also provide good GUI as compared with older versions. The high graphics used in the OS need not perform in older hardware’s like Pentium 3 are the main cons of XP.

Windows 7 is the latest operating system released by Microsoft which has entirely different graphics performance, and much more high performance compared with the older version like vista, XP. Microsoft has worked on this operating system to correct all the bugs reported by the users and tried to improve all features as recommended by the users in the previous version OS developed by Microsoft. Some of the main system requirements are: processor clocked at more than 1GHz and minimum RAM of 1GB and HDD of minimum 40GB.

Some of the main advantage of windows 7 are it is faster than windows XP, it supports almost all software which was installed in windows XP i.e. software compatibility, windows 7 also provide more security features than older version. Windows 7 are available in different versions like home edition, professional, ultimate. On basis of different surveys conducted most of the people prefer to use windows 7 than windows XP, since windows 7 is more faster accurate and more secure than windows XP. But in case of systems with low system configuration windows XP is the correct choice.

Artificial Intelligence for Face Recognition Project Report

This paper deals with recognition of image using neural network. Since today in modern life all of us rely on internet for most of the transfer of data and for grasping up of knowledge, so the security of using internet for data transfer of data has been more important, protection technique like encryption and authentication are been used to protect data while transmitting through internet, even though the security is insufficient so the increasedsecurity on internet is done by using face recognition using neural network, even though his approach is costlier it can provide high advantage of tight security.

It is used in identifying people in real time. By combining local image samplings, the self- organizing map neural network and the convectional neural network, the self-organizing map provides the quantization ofimage samples into a topological space where inputs are in the original space and also in the output space, thereby providing dimensionality reduction and invariance to minor changes in the image sample. These software features are implemented using MATLAB v 6.5.

By implementing the face recognition system the business transaction via internet can be improved. The hybrid neural network solution which compare and recognizes a person with a large database of faces, the neural system give most likely face of people from the database often only one image is available for a person, the next stage of the system is to train the images and stored to the database. Finally the authorized person’s face is used for security monitoring software. Different representation of faces like multidimensional, complex and visual stimuli developing a computational model for face recognition is very difficult. Faces has distinguishable landmark i.e. peaks and valleys on the human faces, There are almost 80 peaks and valleys in human face. Some of them are Distance between eyes, width of nose, depth of eye, jaw line, chin, etc.

Java Annotations Tutorial

In 1995 when Sun Microsystems released a new programming language called Java, few thought it would take the world by storm. Not only java became a big success, it made programming languages like C and C++ a run look outdated and less secure. The Object oriented concept was well received by the programmers and developers. The complete lack of user friendliness and an absence of an IDEwhile coding and developing was Java’s biggest drawback and when the C# language was introduced; Java’s importance slowly began to decline.  In order to overcome a certain part of it Java makers included special Meta data syntaxes into the java code, this was called Java Annotations. The annotations were flexible and reflective, the addition to the class files were pretty simple and while debugging it could be retrieved easily.  Java annotations became a salient feature of the Java technology from JDK 5.0 onwards, here the main components of a programming languages annotation takes place such as methods, classes, namespaces, assemblies, variables etc.

The “@” sign is denoted first before an annotation. For e.g. @variable is written in front of a variableand then is followed by the annotation name. The main feature of an annotation is that it explains the program data which is not at all belong to the original program code.

The main uses of Java Annotations

  • Compiler gets Information
  • Create XML Files, decrease deployment time
  • Generation of Code
  • Processing the code during runtime

The three types of Annotations based on the data provided Marker, Single Element & Multi Value, In JDK5 version of Java there are simple and Meta annotation available. Simple annotations are used in the case of code data, creating a custom annotation is not supported. Override, Deprecated and Suppress Warnings are the three types of simple annotations we get with JDK5.0 while the Metaannotations, used for creating annotations on annotations are divided into 4 different types namely target, retention, documented & inherited

Wireless Networks Seminar Report

Wireless networks are the type of networks that utilizes different types of radio frequencies within air for the purpose of transmitting as well as accepting the data without using the cables. One of the main added advantages of wireless networks is that it does not require any type of physical cables as well as users can even reduce the operational costs.

In order to get the clear idea on wireless and its uses, firstly the advantages and disadvantages of wireless networks are explained in detail as follows:

Advantages of Wireless Networks

By using this wireless networks the mobiles users will be able to access the real time data from any location. There is no need of using wires and setting them into cables and ceilings, the set up of wireless networks is simple and easy which could be extended towards different locations without any wires. The network configurations of wireless networks can be changed easily through which the network can be accessed easily.

Disadvantages of Wireless Networks

The major disadvantage of wireless networks is that there will be many interface problems within the radio frequencies that cause some network connection problems and if any multiple connections is added then the entire throughput of the network will be affected badly.

Ad-Hoc Mode in Wireless Networking

Within the existing wireless computer networks, the Ad-Hoc networks are the type of networks connected with wireless devices through which users can communicate among themselves easily. If the networks are operated with Ad-Hoc networks it permits the entire wireless devices with the range of each device in order to identify as well as to communicate within the peer to peer networks without making use of the central access points. In order to set the Ad-Hoc networks there is need of configuring the entire adapters which finally turn into infrastructure mode.

Active Learning Methods for Interactive Image Retrieval Project

The main aim of this project is to design and build the effective strategy for retrieving the different queries in the form of concept in content based image retrieval. The human interactive systems are playing vital role in the recent time period and they are highly applicable to the content based image retrieval systems. In contrast to many existing systems, here we are totally concentrating on automotive strategies that are been established by using the large image collections. Generally, let us assume that the users are trying to find the image sets along with query concepts that are present within the databases. By taking this factor into consideration the main aim of our project is to build the effective strategies that work faster for retrieving the query concepts.

Query is been used as the example within the search of CBIR- Content Based Image Retrieval process which includes different types of images that are seems to be similar to the user that allows the clients to filter their requests required within the loops of feedback. Till date systems are connecting the association among the users as well as the systems which involves the binary labels that specifying the actual concept of the images. In this system, RETIN strategy is used for the purpose of classifying the CBIR in order to retrieve the selected text. This system has five main modules such as RGB projection, image utility, comparable image, similarity images as well as results modules which are performed individually. Finally the major advantage of this application is that it totally eradicates the entire computational time.

  2. Chances of security issues while using secured information like banking applications.

System Design:

Normally applications on internet work on client server architecture which is not efficient method form mobile devices. When sever goes down then information is not delivered to client this problem is normally seen when there are protocol compatibility issues. In mobile information system we use three tire architecture. Middle tire or business tire is used for connection client and server. This layer will take requests from client and respond to requests client with response message.

Middle tire consists of business logic which is developed in java programming language using java servlets which are used to communicate between client and server.

This paper presentation provides detailed information on data flow diagrams, module description, information flow diagrams, UML diagrams, sequence diagrams, collaboration diagrams and sample screen shots.

Seminar Report On Compiler

Introduction to Compiler

Compiler – Basically a compiler is a computer program that transforms resource code written in a computer programming language converted into another tantamount programming language known as ‘target language’ or the output. The name ‘compiler’ is in the first place used for programs that transform computer program source code from a one programming language or high-level programming language to a lower level language. A computer program that transubstantiate from a low level language to a higher level one is a decompile. The computer a program that translates between high-level languages is usually called a language translator. A compiler is likely to perform following operations: lexical analysis, syntax analysis, semantic analysis, preprocessing, parsing, code generation, and code optimization.

Llexical analysis: Lexical analysis is also known as “tokenization” is the procedure of breaking a character stream into individual unit chunks called ‘tokens’. The “lexer” or “scanner” is software used by the compiler to tokenize computer program code. Tokenization is made through pattern matching.

Trends in compiler construction Semantic Analysis: Now it’s time to move forward to semantic analysis, where we dig even deeper in compiler to check whether they form a sensible set of instructions in the computer programming language. For a computer program to be semantically valid, all constants, identifiers, functions, keywords, variables, classes, etc. must be properly defined, expressions and variables must be used in ways that respected to that type of system, access control

The code generator: generation of code’ is the last and important point  in our compiler model ‘. It takes as input an arbitrate representation of the source program and produces as output an equivalent target program code. The requirements traditionally obligatory on a code generator are severe. The output code must be correct and of properly executed, it means it should make effective use of the resources of the target machine. Moreover, the code generator itself should run expeditiously.
