Problem Statement:

As we explore this topic in more details, it would be interesting to know what experienced technical writing professionals in the Indian industry think about the Indian market, when equipped with the necessary information about the Indian outsourcing market as was discussed earlier in this study. As it is an outsourced Business form from US, UK and European continent there will always be a fluctuation which needs to be considered while proposing a Marketing Strategy.

Conclusion:

The empirical data and analysis have shown an understandable market strategy for a new company to enter into India it may the foreign player starting business in Indian an Indian starting technical writing or publishing company in India . (The project is about a startup to be launched in India. It is not about a foreign company setting up a new company in India.) It is clear that technical writing companies are highly interested to enter the market where there is market demand and presently,  increasing human resource and technical efficiency light has a potential demand in developing countries.

To enter the market, technical writing companies prefer to get the govt. support, better business infrastructure, like if the company is started in IT special economic zone the company will get free infrastructure like power, transportation etc., along with service tax exemptions etc., and they can even get the quality human resporces. better market opportunity and customer demand of their product. Product price, labour cost, potential business partner and market demand are the key strategic objectives what technical writing companies should focus on.

Joint venturelike getting tie up with the established foreign technical writing companies where they can give works continuously as they will have the good client base is the most popular and safest entry mode when company wants to enter into developing market. To monitor the distribution channel and transaction cost should be done before entering into developing country. It is always best to know the market as much as possible and find out how major players conduct their business so that technical writing companies can take the competitive advantages after entering into the market. Finally, market evaluation is very important for technical writing companies to know what mistakes they have done so that in future company cannot make that mistake again.

The purpose of the study was to understand the behaviors as well as the techniques used in hiring candidates. Observations and suggestions were made so as to enhance the quality of the effort taken. Attrition and recruitment are directly proportional to each other whereas retention and recruitment are inversely proportionate. In the same manner, the cost of the company and attrition are directly linked with each other. The higher the attrition rate higher would be the recruitment rate in turn increasing the company`s cost. This problem will be analyzed during the course of the project

The contact can be in all forms of communication viz. email, telephonic conversations as well as direct contact. The resumes will be handled and screened with the help of the project guide. This will give an in-depth knowledge of screening, reviewing, and sorting of resumes. Further with the help of various sources, the resumes will be taken into consideration for recruitment.

Weather Forecasting from Historical Weather Data using Data Mining

Background:

There is a Smart Grid Center that is conducting huge research to design an Intelligent Energy Use system. This system detects the weather conditions outside and would take an action accordingly (these actions would be like turning on the air conditioner, turning off the heater, etc). A huge number of historical weather information is collected from various weather sensor devices that are located across the RVR building. The information is gathered and found to be climates for a period of time (June 2012 to Present). The purpose of this project is to extract the patterns for day-to-day weather prediction from historical weather data using data mining.

Problem Statement:

Weather forecasting is a prediction of what the weather will be like in the future, it had been invented many years ago. The purpose of this project is to extract the patterns for day-to-day weather prediction from historical weather data using data mining. In this project, a prototype of the system will be developed which includes the main components of the system such as training, analysis, and prediction.

A web framework will be developed using Java Net Beans which is used to present the predicted result in a meaningful and understandable manner. The data would be presented in a graphical form which would be much easier for a user to analyze the data. The graphical view will be developed using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Service) tool, The SSRS tool is a Reporting Service tool developed by Microsoft which is used to prepare and deliver a variety of interactive and printed reports.

The Scope of the study covers the importance of health, safety, and welfare measures in the production and productivity of Ready Mix Concrete Pvt Ltd., Bangalore. The sampling units at the company are restricted to staff and employees. The overall sample is taken as 50 employees. The project covers information related to all the departments of the Bangalore Plant of Ready-mix Concrete Pvt Ltd.

The schedule was coded and transferred into the master sheet in the form of numerical. It was processed manually using statistical methods majorly the percentage method.

LIMITATIONS:

The limitations of the study are as follows:-

  • The study is restricted to the employees and staff of Ready Mix Concrete, Bangalore.
  • The questionnaire consists of 20 questions. The questionnaire may not cover the whole topic.
  • The Time frame for completing the Project
  • The availability of the head of the department and the external guide and the time spent by them apart from their regular works
  • The analysis is based on the questionnaire and the respondent’s mood matters while answering the questionnaire
  • The seriousness of employees in filling out the questionnaire.

Suggestions

Scientist feels that mindfulness for well-being is very low among workers. So steps might be embraced to expand the mindfulness and requirement for security. The administration needs to focus on the way that the respondents feel that the machines, types of gear, and instruments are not very much planned and kept up. The reactions of the workers in regard to the level of fulfillment of welfare measures are bunched in the acceptable locale. The administration may find a way to change over these into very attractive.

The representatives are not happy with the vehicle offices given by the port, strides might be taken to give offices, particularly for representatives who need to work night shifts. Along with the increase in the volume of trading in stock markets worldwide, there has also been a rise in investors’ sentiments and awareness about the risks and returns associated with their chosen portfolio(s). A boost in the growth of industrialization and globalization in business has further interlinked the economies and industries on a large scale.

Against the backdrop of such a scenario, an investor gets presented with a wide variety of financial avenues for investments in the stock markets. The stock market is a very sensitive domain among the various investment opportunities. A slight miscalculation or interpretation of the performances of various stocks may lead to wrong assumptions and the selection of inappropriate equities(stocks) of companies. The main strategy here is to follow and analyze those stocks in the market to invest further in them, which follow the stock index returns closely or have a close correlation with the market index returns. Hence, this project aims at following the Indexing Strategy to evaluate stocks of blue chip companies in order to find out the best stock/equity to invest in and see how many effective results it gives.

To find out the best performing Industry/sector presently in the economy.

The aim of this research project is to find out which Indian industry is performing optimally in the capital markets during the past quarter and hence can be the most favored option for equity investors to invest in. This research also attempts to find out which Industry follows the Indian stock index closely and hence is the one to be most impacted by the market index returns.

The other objective is to further analyze the companies within the chosen best-performing industry to find out which 3 companies have the highest correlation with the stock market index and then draw a comparative analysis among them to choose the best option available to the investors for equity investing.

This study will also focus on finding out what effect the recent demonetization in the economy had on the whole stock market in India. The study will hence reveal what kind of positive or negative impact the demonetization had on the various sectors and companies of the Indian economy that actively trade in the stock markets, the effect on Sensex/ Nifty, and also reflect the effects on the stock prices and their returns on investment.

HYPOTHESIS:

 The stock of a particular company that has strong fundamentals(financial statement records) and follows the Indexing Strategy style of investment serves to be the best possible investment option for an equity investor in present times.

Much of the information is also obtained through the official trading sites of NSE and BSE and through other frequent equity trading sites. Lastly, Equity Valuation models like Discounted Cash Flow method(DCF) will be used to arrive at the present value of equity for various companies and hence decide their worth for investment and profitability or returns.

The study was done to find out as to how the present work environment of the IT Companies is effecting the employee productivity and what steps can be taken to improve the work environment for the betterment of the Organization as well as the employees so that the employees are motivated to perform better and contribute for the organization growth and talented and dedicated employees don’t leave the companies during short period of time.

SUGGESTIONS:

  1. Organization need to use number of measurement and approaches to establish current performance.
  2. Organization need to use appropriately a number of basic analysis tools and techniques to establish the root cause of a problem.
  3. Understand key lean concepts and tools, when and how to apply them to drive improvements
  4. Recognize the difference in approach and techniques for incremental and redesign improvement strategies and know how to decide on the correct approach.
  5. Establish on-going process controls and process governance structures
  6. Decisions in my department are made with the input from people who was affected by the decision
  7. By this study we can suggest to use Value Stream Mapping to show the linkage between merits and worth in training
  8. There can be quality learning programs like creating self-learning and evaluation modules for the employees
  9. It is recommended that the whole population of trainers in the department undergo a survey tackling on issues of morale and how they feel things can change for the better quality work.
  10. Some of the respondents are aware of the agenda on the quality check meeting. It is suggested to the management to inform about the agenda details on quality check meeting so that the respondents can prepare the agenda which will help for discussions.
  11. Most  of the organizations prefer for quality audit. It is suggested that the remaining organizations should also have quality audit in their organizations.
  12. Majority of the companies  are using quality information system in their organizations. It is suggested to the organizations to implement the quality information system in the remaining organizations also and should be regularly updated.

The present study on QM was done in IT Companies with the purpose of understanding the impact of QM practices and application in Indian Industries.  It comprises of a dynamic and enthusiastic team determined to accomplish the vision of becoming a World-class Indian bank.

OBJECTIVES:

 LIMITATIONS

  • Accuracy may not be possible (to compare the overall population, the sample size is less)
  • Mumbai branch alone is considered for the survey for Software Services Company.
  • The main limitation of the study is the lack of time.
  • Due to time constraints, the sample size taken for the study is small.

The topic for the research study is trends in HR and the nature of the topic is theoretical and descriptive. So the conduct the research study the type of research suitable is descriptive research only. The data are collected from company records, employees, and customers of the companies performing in IT and other sectors. The descriptive research has met the requirement of the research study.

SUGGESTIONS:

  1. The company should not consider political, economic, or social factors for recruiting employees. Hence the company will not lose talent.
  2. The company can provide more motivational activities for the employees. This may improve the performance of the employees.
  3. The company can recruit more women employees, as there are only a few women employed in the company.
  4. More relevant training programs should be given to the employees, as it helps in the performance of the employees.
  5. The career development of each & every employee could be monitored. Each employee can also be given counseling individually, as it may help in the career development of the employees.

 CONCLUSION 

The project study in “Best Human Resource Practice” at Software Services Company was to determine the Human resource practices of the organization.

Software Services Company provides the best performance appraisal for the employees which helps to improve the performance of the employee. The health and safety measures provided by the organization to the employees are found to be good for the organization.

The study on compensation management gives brief information about employee compensation in the organization and explains the employee reward system and which determines the performance of employees in their work. The Rationale for the study is to design a suitable compensation package for employees that is Cost Effective and at the same time provides Job Motivation to Employees.

SCOPE OF THE STUDY:

The study focuses on compensation management in Private Banks in Mumbai. It gives detailed information on employee compensation based on their performance and employee levels in Private Banks.

This project is to study compensation management strategies & to evaluate the behavior & performance of employees in their work

  • Sample size: The sample size will be around 100 Private bank employees
  • Sampling Procedure: The Sampling Procedure to be used is Random sampling since the Employees working in private banks will be chosen randomly.
  • Sample Units: The Bank employees of HDFC, ICICI, AXIS, and Kotak Mahindra Bank will form part of 100 Sample units
  • Period of the study: The duration of the project may be limited to 40 -50 days approximately

Data Collection Methods:

  1. Primary data: Under Descriptive research design primary data will be collected using a well-structured questionnaire that contains questions satisfying the objective of the Study.
  2. Secondary data: Under Exploratory Research, Secondary Data will be collected from among the following:

  HRM Journals, Textbooks, Journal on Labour relations, Websites Newspaper Articles, and other Published Materials.

Data Analysis:

Cross Tabulation, Graphs, charts, Percentages, and other suitable Statistical Tools such as Chi-Square may be used for Analysis

LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY:

    1. The study will be undertaken among respondents residing in Mumbai city only.
    2. The Study will be undertaken for a period of 40-50 days
    3. The sample size is Limited to 100 only.

The study will help in studying the effective utilization of present Project Management which will help in working on companies’ different projects. The Study is undertaken to find out the effective use and application of Project Management in Real Estate Companies. The study will also throw light on the Project planning and information tracking of recent projects and the quality of Project Management which may have a major impact on the Project Manager’s satisfaction and decision-making.

Sample Units: The Project Managers and Teams working on different real estate projects in Real Estate Companies will form part of the Sampling units. The following top five Real Estate Companies that are considered for the study are as follows:

  5. Lanco Constructions

 Data collection sources:

  1. Primary data: For this study, Questionnaire will be prepared to contain Variables on Project Management quality such as availability, reliability, relevance, accuracy, No of projects undertaken, information overload, Project Planning, Scheduling system Impact on decision making, Project Manager’s satisfaction with Project Management, Impact of information, weekly status report, Project tracking through dashboards, Inspection,  and other information related to Project Management.
  2. Secondary data: Under Exploratory Research, Secondary Data will be collected from Journals, Textbooks, and Websites; Newspaper Articles will form part of the secondary data.

Data analysis tools:

Data collected from 100 respondents will be analyzed through Tables, charts, and graphs using suitable measuring scales.
