Seminar Report and Documentation on Haptic technology

Introduction to Haptic technology Seminar Topic:

It is the technology provide virtual environment by the touch sensation or the mechanical motion of the user. These technologies are used in the remote control machines and devices. This system is the combinations of tactile information and kinesthetic information. Tactile information usually refers to the information collected from the sensors that are connected to the user skin. This technique is used by the physicians to locate the hidden information’s and to get the properties of the tissues.  Whereas kinesthetic information’s are information collected from the sensors that are connected at the joints.

These devices are broadly classified in to the following categories:

–         Virtual reality

–         Feedback devices( stationary devices, wearable device, locomotion interfaces)

–         Tactile display devices

–         Phantom

–         Cyber gloves

This device consists of two parts; human part and the machine part.  Human parts control the motion of the device with the sensors. And the machine part created pressure from the behind of the hand to stimulate the contact with virtual machine. It works in both the direction means it can send the information from the body and we can also receive the information from the virtual machine in the form of some sensation on the body.

This technology is used in the gaming world for creating real life games. This technology is also used my military for their applications. They use them in training and for safety purpose also.  They use theses simulators in the complicated military vehicles. For that soldiers are trained to use such vehicles with the help of simulators.

This is the advanced technology which enables us to feel the object without even touching them in real. But these devices are very rare and very costly for the use. this will be the great boon for the future applications.

Seminar Report on 4G Technology in Telecommunication

Introduction to Seminar Topic on 4G Technology in Telecommunication:

It means fourth generation.  This technology is new it might be available to us by 2015. It is being used in Kolkata. But rest of the country still does not have 4G technology. It is generally the advance version of 3G. 4G is the fully based on the IP. It will give the very high speed of 100mbits-1Gbits. It is will provide high security and best quality.

This technology is able to show high definition television on our multimedia big screen mobile or pc. 4G is now also the part of mobile world.  It can access from anywhere using mobile. They can provide the speed up to 100mbits for moving user and 1gbits for stable users. It doesn’t have the feature of CDMA.

Most importantly is provides the IPv6 support. It means it consists of large number of IP address and large number of wireless enabled device. For the services like 4G there should be advanced antenna systems for higher and better data transmission.

This technology is far better than 3G but its cost is much higher.

Other technologies:

–          1G: this technology uses analog data transmission over cables. They are being used in the 1980s.

–          2G: they are launched using GSM technology in 1991. They are digital systems. It provided the service of SMS through mobiles. They have low powered radio signals so the life of the battery is more in respect to time. These are basically used for voice transmission as they are slow. They can provide maximum 236kbits speed of internet.

–          3G: they are very better than 2G as they have higher data transmission speed. It also introduced the feature of video call. They can provide the internet speed up to 14mbits. This technology is basically used for video conferencing.

Computer Virus and Antivirus Presentation

Introduction to Computer Virus and Antivirus Presentation:

These are basically the executable that execute itself and keep on executing their by creating interference in the system working. They have the capability of avoiding themselves from anti viruses or from windows defender. They usually affect the .exe, .bin, .com files of the systems. These are normal virus. Few viruses only affect the boot record of any hard disk or cd. Polymorphic virus is very rare but they have the capability to multiply themselves. They are very difficult to get detected by the system.

The entire virus are not destructive in nature, they only take the control of the computer and then start making copy of themselves. They are just only the programs created by the programmers, they do experiments with them, but we do not support them who do such experiments. These viruses have the capability to erase the data of our hard disk and dis balance the functioning of the computer.

There are lot of anti-viruses but also have their limitations on their work. They are designed to detect the single viruses. If we don’t know have the deep knowledge of any viruses then we can’t create the anti-viruses. It is not necessary that viruses only come in the computer, they also affect the mobile devices, and they also come from internet while downloading any file.

Antiviruses: they are software designed to detect the harmful files or viruses in the system. It detect all the .exe, .bin file in the systems and checks them whether they are harmful or not. Few anti-viruses delete the harmful file from the system. It should be like that. Best anti-viruses are that have the capability to repair the viruses. Because that file may be useful to us. For example few anti-viruses delete the .exe file of the game, and after that game become non-functional.

Latest CSE Seminar Topic 2012 on Keypads in Security Systems Time Difference Approach

Introduction to Keypads in Security Systems Time Difference Approach Seminar Topic:

Keyboard is the Basic input device for data input in computer systems. The Keypads are specialized Keyboard used to input specialized data, for instance, data input for protecting security systems. The keypad is mostly used in banking sector and Real estate sector inHong Kong.

Today one of the potential threats in security systems is Side channeling keypad data. This amazing study came into highlight when a researcher, namely, Berkeley Doug Tygar ofUniversityofCalifornia, had found that the computer keyboard sounds can be easily and accurately transcripted.

The automated telling machine (ATM) has keypad for entering passwords for the customers which produce specific electronic sounds while pressing keys. The mechanical sounds emanated from the keypad can be decoded to identify the password by the hacker with the help of devices like microphones, computer and sound processing software. The basic principle applies that the hacker transcribes the different frequency and acoustic emanation of keypad to decode the confidential data.

Our innovation is based on “time difference approach” in which the mechanical sound is covered by electronic sound to confuse the hacker in decoding the password.

CSE Seminar Topic and Report on Iris Recognition Technology

Introduction to Iris Recognition Technology Seminar Topic:

Iris recognition technology is all about the identity of a person by using rapid visual recognition model, which is a innovated system to overcome the inability of independent statistical tests. The iris of a eye is the specific feature in the face because of its unique texture in each human. The Iris recognition for identity has very important part in the field of Bio metrics.

Personal identification is the matter of concerned in current world. The Biometrics, identification relies on biological features in human, provides a very easy and trusty answer to the Identity recognition. The Iris recognition technology is a new with respect to other identification techniques with qualities of accuracy, speed, easy implementing feature.

Iris has net like structure with number of overlays and different patterns. Basically the Iris recognition consists of four different steps namely: Image Acquisition, Preprocessing, Feature Extraction and Pattern Matching. The image of an eye is caught by the identification system or machine. Further the image is preprocessed. The iris patterns are differentiated. Lastly the matching of the image is decided.

Though the Iris recognition system is still in the developing stage. Its research and development has been explored all over the world. The applications of this technology are following:

  1. Safe access of Bank accounts.
  2. Ticketless air travel.
  3. To generate driving license and other certificates.
  4. Internet security and its access can be controlled for confidential information.

INTRODUCTION

In this fast developing world the identification is most important criteria to communicate confidential matters. Now days the traditional ways of identification of a person like keys, certificates, passports etc. cannot meet the identification criteria. Thus Biometrics solves this problem by recognizing a identity by matching biological features.

Iris recognition technology is one of the best applications of Biometrics that possesses great precision. Even it just recognizes without direct connection to a person. A comparative research showed that error percentage is much lower than any Biometric approach.

Introduction to Computers Presentation

 Introduction to Computers:

We are currently staying in an era of information which depends on the Digital information. This digital information is electronic information, which is product of the computer processing. Now days each work is depended on the retrieving information, applying it, managing it and transferring it to the followers. Computer is capable of processing and keeps information in its memory.

There are four major operations required in the computer system.

  1. INPUT
  2. PROCESSING
  3. STORAGE
  4. OUTPUT

1. INPUT: The personal computers are micro-computers. The microcomputer receives input data through keyboard, mouse etc. These input devices are known as Peripheral devices.

2. PROCESSING: Processing is the process of changing the input data to output data. The Central processing unit or CPU does this process.

3. STORAGE: The information is stored in the RAM or Random access memory present in the motherboard inside of cabinet or CPU. RAM is not a permanent memory which means the information stored is deleted when the computer is turned off. Thus the information in RAM is unstable and not permanent that cannot be retrieved. The motherboard consists of RAM, electronic circuits and CPU. On the other hand ROM or Read only memory in the hard disk memorize the information stored and permanent in terms of information storage. The information can be stored even after the computer is turned off and retrieve after starting the computer.

4. OUTPUT: Output is the product of computer processed input data. It can be displayed on the computer monitor, listen through speakers, printed by printers and so on. The output devices are called Hardware of the computer system and also known as Peripheral devices.

A BASIC COMPUTER SYSTEM

The computer system comprises of peripheral devices like monitor, keyboard, printer, speaker, scanner and other hardware’s. The Central processing unit or CPU is commonly referred as the Computer because of its computing ability. Though the peripherals plays a important role for input data and output data with out which the CPU is useless.

Apart from the hardware, computer is relied on the software program without which it can be even get started. Even for typing the input data from the keyboard is been processed by “word processing program”.  The software program is available at office stationery or computer stores. Sometimes the word processing program is installed while buying a computer. Rather than buying a computer from large electronics stores it is better to buy it from small chain store in a town where you can get it in less price, so prefer first smaller chain store in a town.

CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT OR SOFTWARE COMPATIBILITY

The computer processor in personal computer is designed based on Chip architecture which is minutely schematic wired present internally of CPU.

The PC chip and MAC chip are different in architectures and dissimilar processing units. The software is different for both Mac software is used in Macintosh and PC software for Microsoft or Personal computers. Both software cannot be runner at the same time, although both can be installed in single computer but in different disks or storage memory. Almost all computers during purchasing is installed with Window operating system. The operating system Linux also support and run in Windows PC’s.

HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE

The hardware of a computer system is tangible devices and the software is intangible or programs or digital instructions that run the computer. Software is generated by a programmer by coding a text. The interpreter or compiler then converts the text code into a machine code to make it understand by CPU. After creating a program it has to be tested and debugged for any kind of errors to remove and bundled into executable files. These executable files finally known as Software which can be bought from store or already installed in your computer.

Seminar Report on wireless sensor network Algorithms

Introduction to wireless sensor network Algorithms Seminar Topic:

The wireless sensor network performs specific sensing tasks by using of Sensor nodes (SN’s) for wireless communications. The delivery of packets by the localized routing algorithms commonly known as multihop routing protocols designed in WSN’s is un guaranteed.

The Greed Forwarding algorithm is some how able to do delivery of packets possessing low routing overheads, but it is also unable to find the next hop, once void problem occurs.

Resolving or reducing the void problems by routing algorithms is classified into Non-graph based and Graph based schemes. The one Non-graph based algorithm called Intuitive schemes for applying GF algorithm is constructed in two-hop neighbor table to overcome the void problem. The ARP and LFR proposed routing schemes memorizes the void problems. Where as many other routing protocols like PAGER NEAR and YAGR, reduces the probability of void problem by keeping the updated information about void nodes.

In GFA and PSR  schemes, the void problem is rectified by network flooding mechanism, here existing routing protocols adopts the backtracking method to overcome network holes or voids like  GEDIR, DFS and SPEED.

It can be concluded that the void problem is partially rectified or can be resolved with algorithm based different routing protocols using efficient converging time.

Latest CSE Seminar Topic 2012 on Keystroke Analysis Security

Introduction to  Seminar Topic on Keystroke Analysis Security:

After being introduced in the world of the PC and LAN, the threat to the security of personal data has raised. This threat was immediately recognized and the use of passwords and smart cards came into highlight which was secure till the new threat called hacking gets started. Then the Biometrics came into existence which doesn’t need to enter the password to access the account and the ultimate feature of authentication and identification of a person.

Our project reveals the new technology by one of the biometric security via “keystroke analysis”. The project focuses on the typing rhythms which are one of the basic kinds of entering data into the computer. We thought of using this basic thing, Keystroke analysis as the Personal identity. This analysis recognizes the unique rhythm and style of the user keystroke in the keyboard for entering data. The typing rhythm consists of Digraph latency as the important role and kept recorded for the future authentication of the user.

The typing rhythm acts as one of the behavioral biometrics which is one of the unique feature provides the top security.

The typing identity has been recorded for the future access. It identifies the Dwell time and Flight time of the keys to access the computer systems. This keystroke timing data is analyzed by the unique neural algorithm which keeps the pattern saved for the future access. The personal computer itself hardware without any sensor required.

The applications of the keystroke analysis are in computer or network security, Internet transactions, banking etc.

Latest CSE Seminar Topic 2012 on JXTA Technology

project jxta a technology overview:

The intervention of the distributed systems into private networks and internet brings out with many advanced protocols and standards to connect the systems. Here the presentation is about overview of JXTA, and its structure, the theories and the upcoming developments of JXTA.

This technology consists of network programming & computing stage for solving so many problems in modern distributed computing particularly in the field of p2p i.e., peer to peer computing. JXTA was the origin of the Sun Microsystems and other experts.

JXTA or Juxtapose has been designed for p2p computing that works in open network computing platform. The JXTA platform provides the peers to understand one another, to advertise network resources, to communicate one another and to help each other to secure peer groups.

JXTA has multilayer specification of p2p protocols which is developed to work on the vast spectrum of the hardware platforms and the networking rules.

JXTA FEATURES

JXTA follows the principles which are actually resultant of demerits of many p2p systems. The p2p systems were based on producing single type of network services, for instance, Napstar is used for music file sharing, Gnutella has known for Generic file sharing and AIM to do instant message. These various features of p2p systems and improper infrastructure, the p2p system software producer possibly developing incompatible software systems, unable to complete access of the users from p2p communities

JXTA comes with the solution of this which creates simple and generic p2p platform that leads generic network services which are following

  1. JXTA follows less protocol which are easy to apply and combine with p2p services and application. These services can be accessed between user communities.
  2. JXTA doesn’t depend on particular programming language so it can be applied in C/C++ , JAVA languages, peer and other languages. The Heterogenic devices having different s/w stacks are also controlled and operated by JXTA protocols.
  3. JXTA also doesn’t controlled by any particular transport protocols. It can be applied with TCP/IP, HTTP, Bluetooth, Home PNA & other protocols.

JXTA Example

The synchronization between various electronic devices like cell phone, pager, and wireless email device are normally done with PC as central synchronization server that connects all devices by the device driver. JXTA made it possible to connect or synchronize all devices without other networking interfaces. JXTA works as general media for communications and data exchange in all devices at a time.

CSE Seminar Topic on Java Cryptography

Introduction to Java Cryptography  Seminar Topic:

The Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) is a structure or framework and executions of encryption, key generation and key agreement and Message Authentication code (MAC), algorithms. The JCE allows symmetric, asymmetric, block and stream ciphers for the encryption. JCE has similar principles like Java Cryptography Architecture. The principles based are Implementation andIndependence. The framework here mentions the cryptographic services which are providers of implementations.

  • Encryption is the process of collecting data and pressing specific key to produce data which is unknown to other end if the key is unidentified.
  • Cipher is the object that has been doing encryption as per algorithm.
  • Key agreement is the protocol to access the key between two parties.

The other concepts include Decryption, Password dependent encryption, Message Authentication code.

The Java 2 SDK, v 1.4 comes as “SunJCE” already installed package and registered with many encryptography services. Some of them are following.

  1. Implementations of the DES and encrypted algorithms, Cipher feedback etc.
  2. Key generators suitable to DES
  3. Diffie- Hellman Key agreement algorithms
  4.  Key store implementations
  5. Algorithm parameter manager for Diffie- Hellman, DES, Tripple DES etc.
