4G Network Fourth Generation Wireless Communication

Introduction to 4G Network Fourth Generation Wireless Communication:

This paper discusses about various questions in related with the 4G wireless communication. The main goal of the 4G is to replace the entire cellular network with a single worldwide cellular network based on the internet protocolfor packet data utilizing (VOIP), video, multimedia services.

The 4G standardized networks can provide high definition video, voice and data services to mobile phone or handheld internet appliances like pram top, tablet pc or other devices. 4G provides technology in FEC i.e. forward error correction which is adopting concatenated coding for multiple QoS (quality of service) levels. The major advantage of concatenated coding over convolution coding method will improve performance by combing two or more coding techniques like Reed-Solomon and a convolution code.

The FEC allows wireless network to send large block of data while reducing bit-error rate, such that increasing the overall through-put. The main goals for 4G cellular services include, interactive multimedia, video streaming and voice, High Speed Global Internet Access using VPN Availability, Service Portability with use of Scalable Mobile Services, High Speed, High Capacity, Low Cost Services, Improved Information Security, QoS Enhancements, Multi-Hop Networking, Spectral Bandwidth Efficiencies (8bits/Second/Hz), Seamless Network of Multiple Protocols – 4G must be all-IP such that it is compactable with all common network technique including 802.11, 802.16e, 802.20, W-CDMA, Bluetooth, Hyper LAN, Wi – Fi and Wi – MAX 3G with other wireless technologies are under development to meet the standards of performance for 4G deployment.

By use of 4G data rate increases of 10 – 50x over 3G which make customers more relay on the video streaming rather than audio since this technology is cost effective than previous generations. The two major companies have now announced the joint development of 4G wireless communication and they are named as MOTO-media. 4G are capable of sending data or receiving data at 20 MB/s which is twice of 3G.

Multimedia Streaming Technology in 4G Mobile Communication Systems PPT

Introduction to Multimedia Streaming Technology in 4G Mobile Communication Systems PPT:

The most gown industry in the past decade is the mobile communication and technology industry, with new devices and connection systems emerging in the market, this industry is one of the most tightly contested and as a result the consumer is the final beneficiary.

Multimedia Streaming Technology in 4G Mobile Communication Systems topic deals with the latest of mobile technology and its perks to the customer. 4G or 4th generation mobile technology is the most innovative and efficient technology till date.

Multimedia streaming sites are available in plenty in the net world and subscriptions to these sites are increasing day after day.

The most important requirement to view these sites is a net connection with excellent data speed, because a slow speed net connection would ham up the streaming process and also we can view high definition videos with high speed connections.

With the help of 4G, we can achieve all of these and not only that, we can do various other things such as make online presentations, navigate to a desired location, do mobile banking, make an e-payment and even video chat with other persons.

One of the biggest features of 4G technology is its heterogeneity, i.e. the ability of a mobile network to tweak according to user’s needs and preferences.

The performance of a multimedia streaming site is tested under various transmission conditions and to achieve this, data transport must be optimized to suit the particular system.

The protection of the transferable content is very important and for that there are concepts such as digital rights management.

The overview of a streaming client consists of graphic display, sound output, user interface etc. which are synchronized through various decoders such as video, graphics, text, speech & image decoders, There would be session control and establishment depending on the user interface and the scope of packet switched streaming is done through terminal capabilities.

For creation of a dedicated content and allowing the application to run on a large number of platforms, an interactive media platform is formed.

Multimedia Streaming Technology in 4G Mobile Communication Systems

Introduction to Multimedia Streaming Technology in 4G Mobile Communication Systems  Seminar Topic:

The present generation can be called YouTube generation, the video streaming site has taken the whole world by storm. Not only YouTube, thousands of video streaming sites are available in the net world where we can watch our favorite videos, upload them and even make money from them. But honesty without a speedy net connection, most of these sites are pretty useless as streaming process would consume a lot of our time and patience. 4G or the 4th generation mobile technology is often considered to be the fastest mobile technology till date.

The transmission rates go from 20MBps to a mind boggling 1GBps, that is seriously speedy stuff. The power of 4G can not only be observed during data transfer or streaming multimedia content, other features such as online mobile gaming, spot navigation and mobile banking are done with an increasingly higher speed and efficiency.

Mobile phones all over the world mainly use two technologies CDMA and TDMA. The 4G technology has many objectives with the main one being increase in speed of data transfer. This technology enables streaming of videos in high definition quality and provides fool proof security while accessing mobile banking or making an online payment towards our purchase.

The main challenge that surface up while streaming are managing connections between various mobile networks which are heterogeneous. A CDMA network offers much more clarity and higher rate than a regular GSM network. Another major challenge is the protection of data transfer content. There are communities such as Internet streaming media alliance and Wireless multimedia forum which ensures the usage of standardized components.

The standardization itself is not only limited to mobile apps; it can also be used for various purposes like video streaming and video conferencing. An interactive platform would be provided for creating dedicated content.

4G Wireless Technology Document

Mobile communication technology is now a un detachable part of our day to day life, earlier mobiles were just used to make calls and send SMS but now it is used for many more things like listening music, watching videos, chat with friends, update status on a social network and even make video calls. With the digital revolution in almost all areas, mobile technologies also have passed generation and now are in its 4th generation which is called 4G. Wireless technology is the current hot trending one like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi etc.  Nowadays internet can be accessed even on TV through these wireless technologies.  In India we prefer TDMA technology over CDMA as TDMA offers GSM Sims and allows higher data transfer rate than CDMA. Mobile application protocol or MAP helps in fulfilling the mobility of the whole system.

The evolution of mobile technology

1St  Generation or 1G: Launched in 1985, just voice based services. Analogue mode with frequency up to 900MHz

2G : Launched in 1992, digital technology was used for the first time; got an upgrade 2.5G 3 years later which included packet transfer and better speech quality. Frequency range from 900-2700 MHz

3G: Launched globally in 2002; Seamless convergence and high bit rate services. Frequency range upto 2GHz.

The mapping of 4G visions include ubiquitous access of mobiles, completely converged services, diverse user devices, autonomy and managing self, dependency on software etc. Network re-configurability will provide the handover in both directions and this will lead to an increase in QoS.  Reconfiguration of a mobile system include a terminal, base station, back bone network, config monitor, software server , download server and a communication end point.  4G is used in various areas such as tele-communication, aeronautics, health, business, education, transportation and even for police investigation purposes.

The main security features of 4G:

  • Authentication
  • Confidentiality
  • Scalability
  • Availability
  • Consistency

4g Wireless Technology Seminar Report

Introduction to 4g Wireless Technology Seminar:

The 1st generation mobile technology or 1G was introduced in 1985, since then 3 generations of mobile technology have been launched. 2G was launched with digital GSM technology in 1992 which revolutionized the entire mobile world giving way to a boom in mobile phone market and networks. With passing each generation, the bandwidth also increased tremendously.

In India 2G still dominates the market although 3G which was launched only couple of years ago in India has started to make some inroads. Bharti Airtel has gone a step further and launched 4G LTE versions at some metros. The cost as they say is a primary factor, people still prefer 2G although it is slow and les secure because of its low affordable cost. The biggest advantage of a 4G system is its efficient ability of network portability, encryption of data etc.

The adaptability of a network to adjust itself to user traffic is pretty good and the quality of service (QoS) is maintained at peak level. 4G also supports radio environments and a variety of mobility patterns. The spectrum usage must be dynamic and should provide fool proof security and privacy in case of a 4G driver. The network should be independent of the access location and the all data should be in encrypted form before sending

The usage of 4G can be helpful in many business areas and social concerns such as online shopping sites, GPS Navigation, Smart TV, online business deals, E-Ticketing, live TV and cinema etc. It can also be used in various medical equipment and surgical procedures. Since 4G emphases on wireless technology, the term mobility gets an altogether different dimension.

The main key of a 4G network is its reconfigure and high spectral efficiency. The demand of an user changes from time to time and 4G can meet up with all the demands and challenges put forward by an user.

Most of us like things done swiftly yet efficiently, be it our transport, work or surfing internet. Earlier we all used to line up outside a cafe to check or send our mails, but now with the mobile revolution we all are able to check and surf the net from our mobile phones itself. The boom in the smart phone market has increased the market for mobile internet.

The 1st generation mobile technology or 1G started way back in 1980’s and is now currently standing in its 4th generation. 4G rectifies the shortcomings of 2G, 2.5 G and 3G technologies. The problem with 3G technology was it offered less bandwidth range for mobility and static applications. The streaming of videos and all was much better but it still lacked that smoothness and finesse.

4G on other hand overpowered those problems with ease, we could send large multimedia files or make a live video call without any lag whatsoever. Since the mobile system was IP based, 4G ensure high speed internet at low costs. It also ensured portability of service globally and made sure QoS is maintained at a highest level. The switching were seamless, scheduling was way better and mobile services were scalable.

The compatibility with other wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi etc. is possible in 4G. This technology also provided good spectral efficiency. Due to its broader bandwidth, the service will be seamless and the data handling and management will be much more efficient. The data are sent through the network via data packets, voice and video files are also sent on a single network effectively. The capacity of a network is usually dependent on the user usage traffic, self-balancing the network conditionally.

There are many areas 4G would be helpful like navigation, traffic controls, motion sensors etc. By coming years 4G would take over the entire mobile world by storm and by that time the costs would be considerably low.

4G wireless system Abstract

Introduction to 4G wireless system Seminar Topic:

For any company, consumer satisfaction is the main priority, without the support of the customer no company can grow in this competitive market. With most of India’s population distributed among youth, the demand for a faster, safer internet is huge. Earlier when mobile phones were on the starting stage there were only very few service providers in the market, but now the whole scenario has changed, the competition has tightened and that has resulted in slash of call rates and net package rates which in turn has benefitted the customer.

Today’s generation believe in a life with no wires, they want everything on the move; be it downloading a movie, video calling friends or even making a presentation online. 4G is the newest technology of the mobile communication block; not only is it faster than its previous avatars like 2G & 3G, it is much securer and user friendly as well. Another major thing that 4G covers is the smooth and efficient switching of the networks, interoperability is easily handled. Many consumers prefer to buy products online and with the help of 4G the business of a E-Shopping site would increase many folds.

There are basically two types of mobile transmission technologies:

TDMA : Time division multiple access

CDMA.  Code division multiple access

Types of 4G Hardware are ultra wide band networks and smart antennas and types of software include SDR or Software defined radio where we can switch from one technology to another. The whole data are divided into packets which are then encrypted before transfer and this forms the basics of internet.

These data packets are flexible, extensible and reliable. QoS should be maintained at a high level during data transmission, if losses occur, QoS level will go down drastically. IPv6 is the protocol used to transmit these encrypted data packets.

4g Mobile Communication Presentation

Introduction to 4g Mobile Communication Presentation:

Internet has taken the world by storm; nowadays we can hardly do anything without the help of the internet. Earlier we used to refer books, read magazines for enriching knowledge but now everything is on the tip of a button click. Internet in mobile have always fascinated us, not only it helped us to get our desired query result fast, the pure perk of accessing data anywhere anytime was a big one.

Nowadays with the introduction of tablets, net books, laptops and even smart TV’s, the reach of the internet is at its highest peak.  The Long term standard version or in short LTE version of the 4th generation mobile technology was first introduced in 2009, but a primitive prototype was shown 3 years before that.

Technical requirements of 4G:

  • Should rely on every IP switched network
  • Min Data transfer of 100Mbps and max of 1Gbps
  • Should support multi-users
  • Minimum bandwidth (scalable) of 5MHz and can go till 40 MHz
  • Downlink of 15bit/s/Hz and an uplink of 6.75bit/s/Hz during peak link spectral efficiency
  • In the case of heterogeneous networks, smooth switchover should be possible
  • Should handle large amount of multimedia files, user can transfer or share data at high speed
  • The standard of the service should be of extremely high quality

The current mobile technology does not have many versions; in fact the main two versions are TDMA and CDMA. TDMA stands for time division multiple accesses, where time domain is divided into channels by various devices. CDMA or Code division multiple access permits each and every device in the allotted bandwidth to transfer data. Ultra wide network comprises of most of the 4G hardware, in which electrical pulses are pushed at a single frequency mainly disguised as voice samples. Smart antennas are also used as 4G Hardware.  The software like SDR are mainly used for switching network selection from one provider to another.
