Seminar on Using Colors for Data Compression and Encoding

Description: Sensors technology and the strides made in the field can be pretty The improvement in color sensors technology can give rise to a better and efficient coding technique. “Color cells technology”, has been mentioned in the paper. Color cells technology has its own advantages over others like compactness, security, and efficiency. This one is suited to be used as a substitute for all available codes like the barcode.

This Seminar on Using Colors for Data Compression and Encoding provides precise explanation of things like color perception, measurement, specification. The paper also comments on some ways on how data can be produced by a color sensor. What is color? Color is nothing but the result of interaction between a light source, Red light absorbs almost all the blue and greenish part of the spectrum. A light source and an object are kept very near to each other. Light reflects on the object and falls on the sensor’s lenses. Then sensor operation takes place and three output voltages are obtained for Red, Blue and Green respectively.

Some methods to achieve data encoding and transmitting it across secure channels is suggested in the paper. There can be three different databases maintained for Red, Green and Blue for more security. Characters are thoroughly shuffled before transmission and after reception; the receiver retrieves original data by using the same set of databases.

Conclusion: The research paper talks about color sensors and their wide range of applications. These applications can completely replace barcode readers. Colors help in printing large amount of data in small data and retrieving the original data effectively. Data entry into computer has become very easy because of the RGB concept that is already used there.
