Survey School Project

Survey school project is a software application useful for analyzing statistics of a school performance by comparing various years’ reports. This application is useful for schools to understand performances and improve standards of university or school.

This application is a web based application developed in PHP programming language using MYSQL database.

Admin has permissions to check various reports through online. Admin can add , delete, modify existing reports and compare with other reports and provide a detailed report by considering various factors.

Existing and proposed System:

In previous methods manual methods are used for taking surveys where most of the work is on paper. This process is a time taking process and manual work required is more. In proposed system reports are generated through online and data is stored in database. It is easy to retrieve old records.

This project comes under RDBMS. This system also uses HTML, Ajax for developing this web application.

There are totally nine main modules admin module, survey report generation module, employee module,

Rajastan Tourism Website PHP Project Report

Introduction to Rajastan Tourism Website PHP Project:

The aim of this project is develop a website which is used Rajasthan tourism. It is developed using Xaamp/php5 and MySQL. By this website the customer can view the information of Rajasthan and it history along with that the number hotels available, Different places and visited locations are previewed on the website. Not only this packages and offers available are also shown. Some of the salient features provided to the customer are as follows

Customer can get information about particular place

Information regarding hotels can also be obtained

The information can also get through e-mail

Customer can maintain/manage his profile at any time anywhere.

Scope:

The system present is time consuming and it includes lot of work task. Because the current system is manual entry. The errors are also increased along with turnaround time. The reports cannot be generated in in time.

Admin page:

The admin page contains Login id and password for admin login. It has also INSERTION, UPDATION, DELETION of hotels information and details. Admin can also make another user also admin.

User Page:

The user page contains details of hotels and places. User can also create an account by registering new account and he can login into his account and he can book rooms directly via internet. The payment is done through online transfer.

Conclusion:

By this website the tourism of Rajasthan is developed all over the world. Not only that this place history and historic monuments and some interesting facts can also know by the people which creates interest among the people to visit the place which helps to increase number of visitors.

Library Management System Using PHP and MYSQL Database Project Proposal

Background

Library management system has a wider scope towards the educational institutions these days. In general each and every educational institution right from a high school to Universities, maintain ample number of books, journals, articles and different publications with them. Initially library management is done manually and the required records are saved across books. The common details that were maintained across libraries include the overall information of all kinds of books against different publications and also the details of the issues and refunds of the corresponding books.

The manual approach followed initially is fine if the case is limited to few books and as the scope of library is improving these days, a perfect automated system is required in this context. There were many automated software’s developed in this context and most of them are successful in maintain the library information as per the required standards of schools and universities as well. The main scope of the library management system mainly depends on few aspects like the number of publications and books maintained and also the nature of the client like either it is targeted for universities, colleges or schools.

In this project I would like to develop a web based library management system that can suit for any sort of clients including universities, colleges and schools. I have reviewed different library management systems and am interested to develop one using PHP and MYSQL database and improve the scope of library management system to a generalized level. Following are the key aims and objectives identified in this project.

To review different types of library management systems what were popular and identify the key advantages and limitations
To design a web based library management system using the modeling techniques like UML
To create the required web pages and add the PHP code
To develop the required database using MYSQL and establish the database connections required
To test the application against few test cases and run the application to generalize a web based library management that suits for schools, colleges and universities as well.

Scope and approach

As discussed in the background section, scope of the project is to create a web based library management system. The main reason behind to create a web based application is that to create the mobility to operate even when the admin is out of office. All the status of books, article, journals and publications can be updated or viewed using this website and also all the issues and returns of the books can be maintained against the student details. A separate log is maintained across the website and it holds the required reports as per day, week, and month or to the extent of desired time period.

All the web pages are created using PHP and MYSQL is used as the required database. UML modeling is used to create the basic design and flow of the application and once it is done the actual coding is done. Initially all the required web pages are created along with the database tables. The required business logic is added to improve the scope of the application and the database connections are established. Few test cases are created and manual testing is used in this project. Test cases are created in a manner to check all the required field level validations and also database validations. Once the application is created the corresponding test cases are executed against couple of runs and the bugs are resolved if any identified. Once the testing is done, the final product is delivered.

Time line

This complete project can be completed in 4 months approximately. Following are the key tasks involved in the project and I m giving the approximate weeks to complete

Critical analysis of Library management systems using academic journals and articles and this will take 3 weeks.
UML modeling of the application and this will take 2 weeks
Database design which include design of backend database and tables and this will take 2 weeks
Front end design of all the required forms and this will take 3 weeks
Developing the business and database logic and this will take 3 weeks
Development of test cases will take 1 week
Unit testing is done module level and this will take 2 weeks
Bug fixing and final release will take 1 week

College Management System Project Report

Introduction to College Management System Project:

This is a web-related application that permits us to approach the entire knowledge regarding the college, employees, students, faculties etc. This application is also called as institute management system. It offers an actual trip of the college campus. Here we would gain the recent knowledge regarding the students and employees.

This general application planned for aiding the students of an organization about details on the courses, subjects, classes, assignments, grades and time-table. It also allows the faculty to know his time-table, upload assignments and issue circulars to the pupil.

The administrator would maintain the accounts of the pupil and staff, prepares the time-table and upload the current information regarding the campus.

The main problem projected is that pupil’s particulars are reported manually in distinct records, which is a laborious job. Handling and updating these records manually increase the chances of mistakes.

It takes a lot of time and needs many employees to accomplish the task. It even lacks security and disability to produce various types of reports.

In order to solve these problems, a new system has been created, that attempts to operate the whole procedure considering the database integration approach.

Online Examination System Project Report in PHP

Introduction to Online Examination System Project:

Online Examination System project is used for conducting online objective test, the test will be customized such that system will have automated checking of answers based on the user interaction. This project helps the faculties to create their own test based on the subject. This also helps the instruction to perform online quiz, test paper such that the academic performance of the students can be increased and can take the feedback from both students and parents.

While a faculty creates their test paper he has given the permission to add the students who are supposed to write the exams, such that he can conduct test paper to students of different class, so that no student gets a question, different from the syllabus. The results of the exam he had conducted is available to him after the student writes is online examination. All students, faculty, parents, etc. has separate login to this project. Some of the main features of this projects are: it reduces the paper work for the faculty, creates automatic response to the students, such that he can get result weather the answer given by him is correct or not, can generate reports after the examination and can be handover to parents such that they can see the status of his child. Administrator has given the supreme power to add faculty and to manage the entire site. Unregistered users cannot able to attend the online examination, but in future scope there will be an option for this too.

On security accepts administrator has the highest authority to edit/delete/create a database, faculty has authority over the students, students can only view the test report weather he is passed or not. Passwords in the database are been stored in an encrypted form, by using different encryption algorithms. For developing this application we use open source languages, like PHP for sever side scripting and MYSQL for database.
