Seminar Report on Blue Eyes Technology

Our goal is to create such a smart computer that can interact with user, share its emotions and feelings and work with computers together. We have to give the ability to the computer to feel the emotions and also they should have the capability to express the emotions.

Paul Ekman’s performed the experiments by recording the six different types of emotions to different people.  They selected different people to show their feelings like anger, smile, sadness, disgust, joy and surprise.  After that their GSR, heart rate, skin temperature was noted. They all are noted through strap sensors. They are instructed to sit against the computer and perform on the feeling. And according to this feeling all statics were taken.

Magic pointing (manual and gaze input cascade): they utilize the eyes gaze for taking input in computer.  With this technique it becomes the manual task and that is mostly used for fine calculations or manipulations or selections.  There are two specific techniques: conservative and liberal. But this might not work to operate the scroll bars or UI widgets, hyperlinks and side handlers.

In this technique eye is placed on the cursor and when we move the eye and the cursor moves on the screen.

Advantages and disadvantages of MAGIC pointing techniques:

–         Manual operation is reduced and less fatigue operation.

–         They have more practical accuracy level. Its accuracy is fundamentally limited.

–         Speed is less than any manual operation but its speed can be fast.

–         We need to keep the eye on the cursor and sometimes could be distracting when you are reading something.

Implementation: it takes the data from both manual input device and from pointing device. It has tracking speed of 30 HZ and they utilize only gaze information.
