Minimizing file download time in stochastic peer to peer network project is a cse project implemented in java platform. This application is useful for improving file downloading time in peer to peer networks. In this paper, we analyze present algorithms flaws and propose new methods in the existing system to improve its performance in term of downloading time.

In the present scenario, most of the bandwidth utilization is used for downloading purpose and time taken for downloading varies from minutes to hours for each file based on network congestion or the service capacity fluctuations. 

Here we analyze two factors which affect mostly they are spatial heterogeneity in the service capacity in multiple peers and single source peer.
