The project “Multi player snakes and ladders game a Java Project” is a game which has been designed in this project and can be played over LAN. The game has been built using Java platform which is platform independent and applet. It is also light weight.

A snakes and ladders game is a simple board game which can be played between two to four players. The four players race their token from start to finish by throwing their dice rolls. The board is played on numbered grid squares which are filled with ladders and snakes on selected boxes. The game is a game of chance and depends on the person’s luck. The size of the grid is 8×8, 10×10 and varies from board to board which will affect the duration  play.  

Description:

In this project Multi player snakes and ladders game, a minimum of two players and maximum four players can play this game. In the beginning of the game, the player’s pieces are placed in the start area. Every player will be given a chance and they have to go about it turn wise. If six appears on the dice then the player can proceed with the game. If the player does not get a six on the dice then the game cannot be played.

The buttons are moved according to the number that rolls onto the device. Once the player’s position is at the bottom of the ladder then he can climb it and reach to the top of the ladder. If the player encounters a snake he has to retrace his steps back by coming to the square where the tail of the snake is there. The game s won when the button of the player reaches the finish point first.        

Conclusion:

The project described above supports various resolution schemes. The save and exit feature in the game give it an extra flexibility. A provision for storing the high scores of the players is provided.

Mail Server with Intranet and Live Chat a Java Project

Email is very crucial in today’s business world. This electronic enabled communication has been embedded into the day to day life and nowadays businesses wouldn’t be able to function without them. This project “Mail server with intranet and live chat a Java Project” is an application program that has been designed to send electronic messages from one system to another. The organization’s requirement is kept in mind before designing this system.

To meet the contemporary business needs, mail servers have become very complex in nature and this additional complexity leads to increased expenditure. This project tends to create a mail server which will eliminate all these problems and at the same time fulfill the requirements of the  system.
Description:

The project here Mail server with intranet and live chat is based on communication and networking. Thus here mail server, intranet and live chat will be implemented. The mail server is an application which transmits electronic mail from one computer to the other and the standard used is RFC 822. Intranet is a term given to a private network which uses internet’s TCP/IP protocols as its architecture.

Every company has its own intranet which is protected by firewalls so as to prevent unauthorized access. These networks can be built using programming languages such as Java. The live chat consists of a virtual chat room where one can communicate with group members something similar to an online conference. This system is thus useful for exchanging information between group members.

Conclusion:

The project described here is generalized and can be used in any organization besides schools and colleges. This system enables information transfer in an easy and systematic way thus allowing free flow communication. In the existing systems, information transfer was usually done manually. However in these systems, this is not the case and communication is enabled online.

Language Emulator a Java Project

Introduction:

Tourism has a big role to play in today’s world. It is also a great contributor to the national revenue. However, tourists face a lot of problems when they go to a tourist destination in terms of understanding of the local language. The project “Language emulator a java Project is designed in such a way that it helps the tourist to understand what has been written on the signboards. The main device used in this project is the user’s mobile phone through which a photo is taken. This photo is sent to the server. The server executes character recognition does language translation. This translated text is then sent to the user via SMS.

Description:

The project Language emulator is mainly divided into four modules. The modules are Request acceptance, character recognition, language translation and response delivery. In the request acceptance module, a request from the customer is acknowledged. This means an image is received from the client’s mobile phone. In the character recognition module, from a given image, the characters are extracted.

In the language translation module, the extracted string is converted into the English language. Finally in the response delivery module, the text is sent back to the client’s mobile through a message. Algorithms for character segmentation, character recognition as well as future extraction have also been explained. Thus connectivity between PC server and a mobile client is established.

Conclusion:

The main advantage of this project is that no additional tool is required to make use of this service. It can be readily used with a phone which has a built-in-camera. This project is highly useful in bus station where all the information is in hoardings and also in museums.

Intra Communication Software a Java Project

In this project, conferences are conducted between the employees and online decisions from the employees of different branches will be enabled. This is advantageous to a company where branches are there throughout the country.

This system is so developed that it provides solutions to the superiors of the company. Selected users are grouped together. Multi-conference is also supported. This system is developed in a client/server environment and can maintain conferences, meetings etc on the net. If a single person is selected from the list then chat between both of them is enabled. 

Description:

The project Intra communication software described here has mainly four modules. This is the admin module, user module, conference module and report module. The admin module is specifically dedicated to the administrator of the organization. He uses this module to control all operations like the creation of employees, and providing permissions.

The user module is for the employees of the organization. Through this module, the employee can do some operations like the creation of chat rooms and participate in employee conference using in chat rooms. The conference module is used by the administrator and can create chat rooms to facilitate chatting. The various chat rooms can also be viewed. In the reports module, the administrator will generate different type of reports and it is controlled by administrator.

Conclusion:

The project discussed above can be feasible because of the hardware and software components are not expensive and can be manufactured easily. Hence the feasibility of the system is high and can be easily set up. The software used is easy to install and easy to use.

ABC Corp engages nearly 10,000 employees across various cities for taking readings from the consumer’s EB meter. This system is done to calculate the rent of the electricity units consumed by the consumers. Thus this project Smarter Work strategy is formulated to design a smart solution so that the working hours of the employees involved can be calculated.
Thus in the system designed above, the employee has to provide his username and password at the login fields. If this matches then the user can submit his working hours on a daily basis and this is stored in the database. If this does not match, then he has to first finish the registration process, obtain a user id. This user id can be used to log in at the home page.

Conclusion:

The project successfully satisfies all the needs of the EB corp. in relation with their billing problem. The sophisticated IBM tools have also been incorporated. Thus, an efficient way of calculating and dispatching electrical bills of millions of consumers of EB Company is designed. More steps could be added to make the project more user-friendly by the addition of other links and websites.

The Java Mail Application programming interface (API) supplies a set of abstract classes that define objects which constitute a mail system. The API defines terms like message, store, transport; it can be further extended and sub classed to provide new protocols and also add functionality when it is necessary.

This Java Mail does not properly allow authenticated user message number attribute, which makes it easy for authenticated users to view other’s messages. This particular drawback of this system is overcome by using high end security methods. This is done by implementing RSA encryption algorithm that provides a private and public key pair.
Conclusion:

Though the growth of technology knows no bounds, the risk of security is also a major threat. If an email is sent from one end to the other, if this is intercepted it could be misused in the wrong way and cause a lot of damage.

The system introduces a very new idea which brings forth methods of message transactions and a better way to exchange data. A dual layer encryption is built in this system. Complex algorithm application in this system encrypts the message and embeds the encrypted data in an image technique using steganography. The standard email is also incorporated in this system.

In this project the information hiding is done on an image file. It includes information about the file and image file where the user would want to save the image and extrude it.

      In this program, the user has two options i.e. encrypt and decrypt. He needs to run the application. If encrypt is selected, the application allows the user to select the image file, information file and other options to save the file. If decrypt is chosen, then the application only asks for selection of image file and path specification for saving the file. Encryption is for hiding the information while decryption is used for obtaining secret information.

Conclusion:

    This project is very interesting and also presents a secure way of transmitting hidden information. The LSB approach is lucidly explained in the project. A stego-key is also applied to the system foe embedment of the message onto cover image. A lot of image formats can be used in this project.
