An obstacle avoidance and temperature sensing robot which is supervised by the computer is presented in this paper, this computer based temperature and collision control robot based on the radio frequency technology, implemented under the embedded system ultrasonic technology for its design, the main objective is to control the movements of the robot by not manual operation but using radio frequency technology we can achieve wireless control over the mechanical robots, this systems send commands to the robot through the micro controller, here we use a low power and high performance 8051 microcontroller with 8-bit processor, 32 data lines using different  memory types such as UV-EPROM, Flash and NV-RAM these commands are derived from the control systems and based on the computer vision library we can attain obstacle detection through stereo vision, in this system sensors play a vital role in receiving the data, these are the perceptual system in the robot , the temperature sensors i.e.  

Thermostats are the high sensitive temperature elements we use here, our project consists of the following major components, RF receiver and transmitter, RF decoder and encoder, ADC, motor drives for various power ranges, ultrasonic sensor, crystal oscillator.

 The radio frequency technologies paved path for the wireless communications, these RF waves i.e. electromagnetic wave can propagate with the speed equal to light, finds enormous applications in radar, television broadcast divisions. Our project is mainly divided into two sections, Hardware implementation, and Firmware implementation.

In hard ware implementation we discuss about the design and assembly where as in firm ware implementation we come across the micro controller programming, software installations, the project design and implementation is explained with the help of a functional diagram. This sample circuit is implemented by interfacing with the computer and the experimental results are found to be satisfactory proving it is an reliable and effective device for controlling the mechanical movements of the robots with obstacle detection and with minimum collision.

Out Door Wireless Health Care Monitoring System For Patients Based On ZIGBEE Project Report

This paper addresses a new technology in the field of bio medical sciences; it is a wireless patient monitoring system based on the ZIGBEE concept, as far doctor’s point of view it is a system which saves times by implementing multiple tasks at a time virtually rather than regular manual operations, due to the rapid advancement of wireless communications technologies in the field of medical sciences paved path for the invention of this wireless health care monitoring system, this system acts as an direct connection between doctor and the patient.

This ZIGBEE concept is derived from the embedded systems, ZIGBEE is a high level communication protocol by using small and low power radio based devices for critical latency devices, this new concept is highly reliable, with self healing phenomenon, with long battery life, multiple nodal accesses which can be globally implemented, now the main requirements for our wireless ZIGBEE monitoring systems are node architectures, Real-time data acquisition and analysis, Interoperability with reliable and robustness.

This system architecture consists of an automatic monitoring system for monitoring the varying physiological parameters of the patient such as body temperature, pulse rate and heart beat with recorded information, an communication system for the transfer of these parameters between the patient and the monitoring doctors, this system is provided with the body temperature sensors to sense the changing conditions of the body temperature, and it is connected to the GSM/GPRS or with the Land Line internet service to transmit signals, in the base station the relay senses the signals and transmits to the monitoring systems, the entire hardware and soft ware assembly  with components specification was neatly explained in the block diagram section.

The results obtained in the verification experiments of this sample kit revealed that it is a better solution over the existing monitoring systems with better accuracy, proper security, speed and high flexibility, robust and ideal in meeting health care needs.

This paper presents a unique methodology in remote patient monitoring system by a combination of communication system and body sensors, it is a new methodology in monitoring the parameters of the patients on a single display unit based on networking technology, this Patient monitoring systems consist of equipment, devices which not only measures and display’s the parameters but also gives recorded information about the Physiological conditions like, blood pressure, body temperature, heartbeat, pulse rate, respiration rate and other health-related information. And various details about bodily substances like Cholesterol, glucose, hemoglobin, blood platelets.

And a continuous supervision can be assured by the doctors by sitting in his room only, monitoring the present and past conditions of the patients, the data is obtained by a processing module. In any emergency case where an immediate attention of doctor required these remote monitoring systems are the ideal solution, these can be globally implemented by using networking technologies, these multi parameter monitor systems can display multiple signs on the single display unit by dividing into sections  on the screen.

In our project we used RS485 based networking system; it has one main and three auxiliary systems which are internally connected by RS485 protocol. The main system consists of a microcontroller, serial data communication cable between PC and circuitry, and integrated RS485 communication module.  The auxiliary dependent unit consists of a microcontroller, sensors and RS485 communication cable.

 This auxiliary unit receives analog data from the sensors and stores in its memory, when ever main unit requires data it sends commands to the auxiliary devices and sends these values to computer through serial commutation, these values are displayed on the screen by implementing a visual basic program. It is a virtual monitoring system where doctor supervises the conditions of patient through PC. By increasing the total drives of RS485 protocol we can achieve an increased number of patients monitoring.

Due to rapid advancement of multi sensing technologies in the field of communication systems and navigational devices, these multi sensing systems have found enormous applications; here in our project we provide a smart vision prototype is a globally navigational aid for guiding the blind and visually impaired people, it is small, low cost, easily wearable navigational system. 

These systems can be used in both indoor and outdoor applications it supreme functionality is to provide an Clear-Path Indication, here we use an ultrasonic sensor for eliminating obstacles, these ultra sonic sensors are placed in the eye glasses and the transmitter section is placed in the walking stick, for transmitting the information to receiver when ever any obstacle is found in the path the receiver receives the signals from the transmitter.

which are placed in the either side of the stick, to give warnings from both sides; in this project we use a voice recorder with an speaker to give the vocal information for the user,  in this system we increased the range of operation up to 250cm by implementing ultra sonic obstacle sensors, the hardware of our system consist of  an micro controller (rabbit processor-RCM 3100), obstacle sensor, ultra sonic transmitter and receiver, signal processing unit with voice board, its comprised of embedded c on an Kiel cross compiler. In this project the hard ware connections in between the rabbit processor and the ultrasonic sensors with voice recorders are clealy explained in the schematic diagram.

We implemented a dynamic C with RCM3100 module for rapid creation and debugging of the runtime applications creates a new environment in dynamic C development. This interface facilitates fast editing, compiling, debugging and loading. So far we provided a sample model for the navigation of visually handicapped people by introducing additional advanced technologies we can achieve sophisticated results.

People use internet to search and get their valuable data but the internet is the most visiting lace for the internet attackers this attackers and hackers keeping searching for the opportunity to make some actions and put the loyal people in danger.  This existing system is the device which scans the internet and quickly alerts the user or the system network if any crime or any attack is detected by the attackers. This saves the system from getting hacked by the attackers.

To test this system there are various applications like the Black Box testing and the White Box testing. Black box testing operated the demo software and checks whether the inputs are accepted or not. White box testing checks the source code and the other important information related to the development of the system

The system concluded that after the detection of the criminal networks which is done by following the Native Bayes algorithm the complete system helps in detecting the criminal attacks by using a large technique which the previous system was not capable of doing it successfully. This existing system allots very accuracy to the output results; it also provides regular update to the users, this system can detect the sever attacks in less duration of time and less efficiency too.

This system ha s a limitation is that it works only on the IPv4 networks only and in coming future the developers are readily generating the system which can work even on the IPv6 networks too.  This system will have its complete interdependent nodes though it has some or little limitations also.  It is based on the active platforms and always low down the negative responses from the system executions.

Introduction to Infrared Data Transmission ECE Lab Project:

The existing system has two parts or is divided into two sub types called as the transmitter and the receiver. Here the transmitter uses the PWM called as the pulse width modulation which is the partnership with the IR diode to generate the high frequency range. This high frequency module at last is then made slow to transfer the data in the safe condition.

This device is something similar to the transmission protocol called as the standard RS-232. This transmitter uses the 8 bit data and also a single stop bit. Here the signals are transferred near about 40% first so this bits are been sent at the start and then the other is sent later.

This is meant to a laboratory experiment and has very similarity to generate the computer and the internet modem. This internet modem is then used to connect the computer through the internet by making the use of the dial up modem and it is also even connected by the telephone networks also.

The modem has the IR transmission and also the processor and it makes the modules that are of the higher frequency to transfer the data. The modem which is used for receiving the data and the information may be demodulated by the signals too. But in this system the device automatically demodulates the signals while in the execution process.

The AmI framework establishes the building an intelligent building. The Intelligent buildings consists of the Central computer system or server that regulates the sub systems like heating ventilation, HVAC systems, lighting, fire and the security systems. 

The central systems observe and keep updated by the settings of the controlled associated or sub systems for any physical changes occur to the AmI. 

The highly secured Id authentication provides the system to inaccessible from the unauthorized user. 

The very impressive function of the system is to count the people and controls the air conditioning and the ventilation. 

The system is very useful for the shopping malls, and make a comparison for the customers visiting and purchasing goods. 

The Proposed System 

The Proposed system is a concept of the use of smart sensors that are incorporated in a building to make a continuous monitoring. The smart sensors are combined in different machines to track the building. The high level nodes receive information sent by the sensors and follow the rules mentioned to develop complex information. The simple events are presented by the finite automata. The complex events are traced by the system. The integrated sensors are of two different types:

  2. The sensors for counting of people.

Introduction to Zigbee wireless Relay Control and Power Monitoring System Project:

This system is made to manage wirelessly Regulating relays and monitoring current. This is applied for the home load simulation. The ON and OFF commands are passing from PC to microcontroller through the wirelessly turning relays. It can change the whole current in simulated home. We made wireless communication with XBee Series AND 2 ZIGBEE modules. Any one module is get connected with the microcontroller and the home load simulation. The other module is connected the computer to extract the data and relay monitoring and regulation.

The Project aims to simulate the home with use of resistors to control many appliances and items. It controls and provides the user to turn on and off the wirelessly controlled appliances. It manages the power consumption at home. It provides the user graphical information of the data in the computer in real time power used at home.

The simulate home will be consisted of the 7 appliances with designed by the resistance or load. The all simulated home appliances are supplied 5 V DC power by the microcontroller. Normally the home is supplied 120 V AC current. The simulator home is independent from the need.

We have developed a simple transmission system concept of Zigbee routing and networking regulations. The regulations are known as the Protocol stack or Zigbee stack. The data networks are generally various types of layers or stacks according to the functions. The lowest stack is depended on the real electrons existing surrounding. The high stack depends less on the physical things and the bunch of the data structures can be managed.

The Project is dealing with the network layers. The software are XBee chips and firmware for the data links and physical layers and the XBee- API and XBee- Arduino software eases works for the network layer. The Zigbee is used due to low power consumption for the MCU end of transmission. It is less complicated and easy to implement.

ECE and EEE Mini Project Report for H-Bridge Fed Dc Motor Speed Control

Introduction to H-Bridge Fed Dc Motor Speed Control Mini Project:

There are various methods for controlling the speed of the DC motor but they require huge equipment and they require high additional costs. The proposed method is a h bridge fed method which is used for controlling the speed of the DC motor and it is operated by using a microcontroller. By using this method the various in the speed can be adjusted automatically by the microcontroller. In this paper we will see how the microcontroller based design is implemented using h-bridge fed method.

Brief on the working model and design:

To control the speed of the motor we design a PID which is control loop feedback mechanism. In this we use a h-bridge with MOSFET which controls the dc motor input voltage by using PWM technique. The MOSFET allows the bidirectional movement of the DC motor which allows the speed control. By using PWM technique the speed variations can be adjusted easily by reducing the harmonics and not affecting the starting torque.

In order to modulate the current to the dc motor the operating power is turned on or off which is the duty cycle. The duty cycle gives the speed of the DC motor. For this design we will be using an 89C51 microcontroller which has 8KB of flash memory which is best suited for programming our application. The microcontroller program is written in embedded c and is loaded into the flash memory by using keil software.

Conclusions:

The proposed design of H-bridge method speed control device can even work under large currents. This is effective and the reliable design for controlling the speed of motor. As we are using a microcontroller design the speed adjustments are made automatically. This type of device can also be used in industries for controlling the devices.

Introduction to Solar Tracking System and Hybrid Power Generation Project:

The main objective of this paper is to give idea of solar tracking system and hybrid power generation. Today, electrical energy has become the most important factor. At present, we are in a position that without the electrical energy no work can be done.These electrical energy is being extracted from natural resources like water and coal etc. These resources are limited. For example, consider water if there is no appropriate rainfall, there is scarcity of water .

In such a condition, we cannot generate electricity. Hence to avoid these problems, solar energy is used to fulfill our needs. Solar energy is one of the natural resource which is abundant can’t be extinct. By using some techniques, solar energy is converted into electrical energy. The tracking system consists of panel, battery, regulator, voltage divider, motor, ULN driver , LCD and micro controller. In hybrid power generation, wind mill, control unit, solar panel, battery, Power supply , inverter, load and control unit are present.

Brief into Solar Tracking system and Hybrid Power generation:

The panel used consist of photo voltaic cells, these cells converts sun light into electrical energy. First light is converted into heat and later it is converted into electrical energy. A stepper motor is used such that the motor can be rotated to the point where  maximum intensity of sunlight is available. The Pic microcontroller 16F877 consumes less power.

It has 4K bytes of Flash Programmable and Erasable Read Only Memory. Voltage regulators are used to generate fixed DC output voltage even from variable DC. Coming to hybrid power generation, the wind mills rotates according to wind blown. From its rotations, wind energy is converted into mechanical energy. With the combination of these two we can produce more energy.
